What Abby can’t do is win the 100 Meters. Let this young lady develop first. She hasn’t beaten no one yet. I want to see her beat Gabby, Sharika, Jackson and a few others first. The same was did with Mathew Bolin and look where he’s at? He can’t even win a college race now. People don’t take into account that while Abby and Mathew are developing and getting better, Others in the sport are getting better as well. Stop giving titles that hasn’t been earned yet just to get your page poppin

I'm a fan of Abby, but I think she has work to do. Richardson is all but assured of winning when they face each other. Just the way it is at the moment. And do not underestimate the power of victim mentality. Black Sprinters have a chip on their shoulder when facing a White sprinter who can challenge them. They use this victim mentality as extra motivation to win. Kind of highlights what an effed world we live in, but it is what it is. Here's my beef...Abby is already a great sprinter, and deserves the praise she's earned, but because she's White, she has to win. Where Black sprinters can place 2nd or 3rd and still be considered great. White sprinters don't have that luxury. They have to win, or the haters come out and denigrate their efforts. It is what it is, and it's simply never going to change.

I watched Abby in the 100m at the inaugural Diamond League meet. She finished last - which was disappointing. I'm pleased to see that she's excelling in her niche distance. I suspect that the transition from college to international meets will be a steepish learning curve, but her time indicates that her potential is still to be reached. Looking forward to this season's competitions. Go Abby!

...I think Sha Kari would win. I would like to see a tie!

Here's how it will all most likely pan out: ShaCarri = 2 Medals Abby = 3 Medals Sydney= 2 Medals Please allow me to clarify the FACTS about "the top Sprint racers" which many of the comments below are missing. Let's break it down by the races: 100 meter 200 meter 400 meter 4x100 meter 4x400 meter 1) The 100 meter. At this moment, ShaCarri is faster than Abby in the 100. But ShaCarri definitely has a handful of other ladies who she better not sleep on. And if Abby improves her first 20 meters she just might beat all of them. Edge goes to ShaCarri. 2) The 200 meter. It looks like ShaCarri will give Abby a run for her money in the 200 this year. But it's still early. And ShaCarri still hasn't broken 22 seconds yet. While Abby has shattered multiple records in the 200 and has a PB of 21.77 Edge goes to Abby. 3) The 400 meter. ShaCarri has no chance of beating Abby in this one. Abby is a beast in the 400. But, I don't think anyone is going to beat Sydney McLaughlin. Sydney will most likely break the world record in both the 400 and the 400 Hurdles. Abby can beat everyone else in the 400. But she will get the Silver while Sydney gets the Gold. Edge goes to Sydney. 4) The 4x100 relay. NO one beats Abby's split time in the 4x100 relays. Not ShaCarri. Not Shericka. NO one. Edge goes to Abby. Again. 5) The 4x400 relay. Again, Abby is a beast with amazing split times in this relay. And again, NO one beats her -- except Sydney McLaughlin. Edge goes to Sydney. SO... 1) Go Team USA!! IF all 3 of these ladies stay healthy and run their best - Team USA will bring home a lot of jewelry. 😁 100 meter = ShaCarri medals. Possibly Gold. 200 meter = Abby definitely medals. Possibly Gold. ShaCarri possibly medals. Maybe Gold. 400 meters = Sydney gets Gold. Abby gets Silver. 4x100 relay = Abby and ShaCarri both get Gold. Abby has faster split time than ShaCarri. 4x400 meters = Abby and Sydney both get Gold. Sydney has faster split time than Abby. So like I said: ShaCarri = 2 Medals Abby = 3 Medals Sydney = 2 Medals Fools = Will still say Abby is overrated.

Delusional: Abby is not even in the top 5 in the world to even think about a medal in the 200 Shacarri has yet to prove herself on the world stage to think about a medal right now, those times right now dont mean much on the world stage. Sydney Gold YES! Relay splits mean nothing in an individual race. Yes I said it, come back and prove me wrong.

It's really nice that you put so much effort in to it. I'm a big fan of Abby, Sha'Carri and Sydney, but this left me scratching my head. The 100 Meter Shelly-Ann 10.62 Elaine Thompson 10.54 Shericka Jackson 10.71 Marie-Josée Ta Lou 10.72 all will be a factor but ShaCarri should get a metal The 200 Meter Shericka Jackson 21.45 Elaine Thompson 21.53 Shelly-Ann 21.79 Gabby Thomas 21.61. If Abby and ShaCarri are both in the race, hopefully one of them can get a medal. As things stand Abby has the better chance based on personal best. The 400 Meter Hopefully Sydney can get the gold or at least metal. We don't even have a time for her yet. If you follow track, you know Abby doesn't run the open 400m. Indoor season is training, just like the 100m is outdoor. If you don't follow track, but are a fan, I can't fault you for that. Listening to all of these KZread creators talking about Abby in the 400m, you would think it's a thing. Don't get me wrong, she can run a mean relay leg, but she doesn't compete outdoors in the 400m. ShaCarri no chance 4x100 Aleia Hobbs will be back on the relay and ShaCarri is back so it will be a miracle if Abby were on the relay. If you Follow track, you know that, but for those who don't generally they take the top 8 finalist in the American Championships. 4 for the relay and 4 as alternates. in rare occasions, someone will be fast enough to be considered, so if the make the team in an individual event, they can be in the relay pool. That would have been Abby last year. This year she is ranked 34th in the U.S. so she probably won't be in the relay pool. 4x400 It's too early to tell. Sydney for sure and Britton Wilson at 49.13 is a lock. As I see it, 2 slots are open. If Athing Mu runs this year its 1 slot open. It will be interesting to see what the 400 in the American Championships look like. Gabby has already run 49.68 and Abby has run 50.59 indoors

@@lasvegas4164 I agree that Abby probably won't run the 100 because ShaCarri looks really strong at the moment. And Abby probably won't run the 400 because there's no point of her doing so since nobody will come close to Sydney. But I disagree with you on the relays. Abby is a lock because she consistently has the fastest split times out of the crowd on whichever track they are on.
