I went to Syria in 2007, and it’s one of the most incredible countries I’ve ever visited. People were the friendliest and even as a tourist you never felt like u weren’t welcome. Awesome food, awesome people, awesome culture and awesome landscapes. Wish all the best to my Syrian friends from northern Spain

I miss these old days.. and I wish more people would know about our Country's great and interesting history. I would definitely visit his shop and buy something if I ever went back.

As a Syrian, I cried though the entire video. Seeing the streets, the life, the people of my country (and them smiling through all they are going through which I know as a Syrian made it even more emotional for me).. I haven’t seen my country since 10 years, the last time being when I was 5 years old. Great vid, Drew.

Damascus looks lovely, i have a friend here in Sweden and his family fled from Syria during the war and settled here in Sweden and i hope the nation can be restored fully soon because i'd love to go there as i have never been in the middle east before but would like to visit it someday.

Lemme say as a Jordanian from the Hashemite kingdom that When i was a young kid i used to go with my family to have breakfast every Friday at Syria .. From my home in Jordan to that Restaurant was only one and a half hour by a car .. Jordanian breakfast is the most delicious but we used to go there to eat from the delicious Syrian food and for shopping .. we felt so good and comfortable ! the last time i went there was at 2007 .. Syria ! We love you from the Hashemite Kingdom of " Jordan " 🇯🇴🌹

I am born In Syria and thanks for bringing memories. I am not born in Damascus, am born in Al Hasaka, where most Christians from syria are born at ( I'm a Christian). Now I live in Sweden and I have lived here for around 7 year, which means I'm grown up I Sweden. Now the war is gone!

We have a good amount of English speaking people, u would be amazed about the amount of people that speak fluent English but there is a good amount that can only speak "basic" english due to war and sometimes lack of education.

it is like the State of Cuba man All cars is 11 years old , it is dead City , I am from Damascus and all my grand fathers from 1000 years and I have never seen my City dead like this before , waht happend in Syria and Damascus never happend since Mongols invasion to Damascus , you are safe becaus you are foregn you damn shit, all what I have seen are only women and children and old men and 1% just men that is fucked up man and all the foods are either expired or filled with preservatives , and ledd into cancer , so you have to check yourself medicaly after that
