WHAT BROUGHT THEM HERE? THE 1800's BOWERS PIONEER SETTLEMENT HIGH IN THE MOUNTAINS

Ойын-сауық

I join up with Brandon Bowers on this monumental journey into the high country where peace and tranquility capture this settlement with little remaining. We uncover some old foundations previously unknown by the owner.

I do really miss the fall in the mountains. Does Brandon's people still own the land there? I hope some of them do. The cemetery is in such a peaceful setting. But I did find it sad that all those pioneers names are lost to history. I watched some of your older videos last night and saw again the one where you had been in Kandahar and younhoise burned. Of course I cried again but I'm so happy your wife when children were ok. Thank you for your service and sacrifice and tell your wife and children thanks too. They sacrifice just as much as the ones who have to go overseas. My nephew has been blessed with a wonderful wife who has dealt with his service for 20 yrs. She said they retirednthise year and she is finally at peace because he's home for good now. He's really enjoying it too. He also has a grandson and I find that hard to believe. Merry Christmas and a blessed new year to you and your family

Hey Virgil the Bowers Settlement is a long way from any public places and very hard to get too. The family sold in the 1950's. The new owners were out of state, and tore it down due to vandalism. The Bowers children grew up and now wish they owned the place. It is an heirloom lost to them and they are rightfully sad about it. They are allowed to visit any time, have keys to the gates, and keep up the cemetery. The other building sites though, no one alive in the Bowers family were aware of them or know if they might be the older cabin sites. Merry Christmas to you as well!!!
