Agreed. Amazing singer, fantastic songwriter. I'm not big on country music, truth be told, but I came across his stuff purely by chance and he blew me away completely.

I never get tired of listening to Chris Stapleton I am a child of the 60s and 70s but by the 80s rock was pretty much dead so I turned to country music and was feeling like country was losing its way until Chris Stapleton

First time hearing this.. wow... Chris is just amazing... love his voice..it's not per say powerful.. it's just so smooth.. I love him

Chris Stapleton music crosses every boundary, racial, genre, age, political affiliation...every single boundary. His voice is so unique, it is like it touches the soul. Some classify his music as country, some classify it as blues or soul, and some might even say it is rock or pop. Those that listen enough eventually realize his music is in it's own classification. It appeals to listeners of every genre, racial group, and generation. I seriously doubt the hearing ability of anyone who does not like his music. There have been very few musical talents ever that can cross so many divides to find fans in every possible group. Then again, not many singers in history has such a powerful voice. The man could sing anything, anywhere, and I would stop to listen, and I bet you would too.

Chris is the best. No one compares the past 5 years. Shiloh, I may have mistaken you for a teenager when I first your first reaction and listened to your critique. I think it may have been "FIRE AWAY" by the man above. I couldn't believe what I thought was a teenager could understand exactly what the song was about. Yet you nailed it. I referred to you as an old soul with a young heart but I may have been wrong about your age. Are you in your upper teens or low to mid 20's ? A great song is "you don't know me" by Mickey Gilly. Mickey Gilly is a country star from the early 70's and into the 80's. Fantastic entertainer. This song was how I felt about a girl in school. I had know her since the 5th grade to graduation and never have forgotten her. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I like the song. I've been back and forth listening to H.E.R and Chris. Just discovered music from both of these artist this year, although I had heard H.ER .was up and coming. You can tell Chris has that old school soul in his blood. He kind of reminds me of Michael Mcdonald of the Doobie brother. I don't want say they are two of the same because they aren't. What i do find suspicious is all of a sudden you see all of theses African American vlogs featuring Chris. All he needs is exposure done the right way, when featured with H.E.R. Don't make him anymore than who he really is. That type of artist doesn't last in the music business.
