    Hi Adri, I suspect you weren't breaking the law and I don't think the man with his dog was chasing you. There is something in the UK called 'Public Rights of Way'. Under the Highways Act 1980, it is a criminal offence for private landowners to block or obstruct public rights of way without lawful excuse. You can read more here : (I had link to to 'Rambers' webpage with the info posted here, but I'm removing it, because a friend told me that comments with weblinks don't post) ... or on the .gov website. Make sure you keep to the rules of using 'public rights of way'. Landowners don't like it when you break them. There are also public footpath maps you can look at online. It's lovely countryside you've got there.

    Hi, yes A trigger warning is something that might upset readers - eg mention of grief, domestic abuse etc. It does sometimes in my opinion spoil some plots, but i guess it helps people curate their reads more to their tastes.
