You want the owners to care and get some better players, don’t go to the games! If the stands are empty they will definitely listen to the fans. As long as there 36 000 people in the stands why would they care about the quality of the team.

Yeah but most “fans” are just visiting Boston and want to see a game. They get people to come see Fenway like it’s the baseball hall of fame. The real fans would do this after the way we’ve been treated the last few years but we can’t control our forever love with Fenway and those damn sox

I am NOT sticking up for these asshole owners. But this trade does make sense. The only area of depth on this team is the bullpen. They traded a guy who they can love without for a legit starting pitching prospect. It makes sense it that respect

Exactly. They are trying to build depth in their pitching prospect pool. Like thw dick fitts trade w NY. Schreiber is 29 and the guy they got is 23 w future starter potential. Curtis is too focused on owner hatred which i get but limits his assessment of the trade

Been a Sox fan for over 60 years. Management will milk the cash cow till it's dry. The decision to trade Betts was a message to Sox Nation they were no longer serious about putting a contending team on the field. As you say , this trade no sense. I hope iam wrong but this team at this time will be out of playoffs by August. Just saying

4 World Series since 2000 have them a lot of leeway. They weren’t supposed to win as much as they did. Now, using the championships as a safety net, they can plod along and be profitable for the next 10 years and point at the championships when criticized. @3:56 No, no it's not. The Rangers were a top 5 payroll and won the World Series. The Red Sox, in 2018, were the #1 payroll in all of baseball and won the world series. Even in 2021, when the Red Sox were not "expected" to make it to the postseason, they had the #6 payroll. Yes, the Diamondbacks were the outlier last year when they made it all the way to the WS but that doesn't meant it works for everyone. Stop trying to excuse this front office and ownership for their lack of spending.

Ownership has taking the season off. Time for fans to do the same. Think of what you can do with those 200 to 600 hours with your time. Invest in your families, find a hobby, do the things you never have time for.

Why pay a guy like Devers over 30 million if you're tearing it down? I get it, from a business standpoint you have to keep asses in seats...or do you? Is the TV money so much now that attendance is a visual backdrop? They tinker with the roster until a strong young group evolves then you spend money if it puts you over the top. It is all about money for ownership? They've won 4 championships and now they're surfing on gravy. Let us in!!!!!????

I think Xander and alot of players have been getting too much money over too many years! The Sox are smart to afford paying guys get ver 30 10 year mega deals that are never going to work out. Do you Xander will be worth his contract at age 40 😂 i suggest he wont be at SS and wont be quite the same player as he was with the Redsox so that deal will haunt the Padres. Snell, Montgomery, Nola, etc these guys are not Aces to hey are solid players but have issues and all are 30 or older so if they looiedlike a young Clemens or Kershaw of course sign em but in reality giving these guys 30 mil will only backfire. Redsox are making smart moves, you will see. We kept all our young pieces and added solid talent so far, i like what Breslow is doing. If we sign Montgomery we will compete!
