Jake I wanted to ask you is A level available and worth doing when I am 21 years old and haven't done them yet. I feel like its been a long gap since I last did full time education at school and so might not be as efficient as I once was. Considering A levels are harder than GCSEs I am wondering if its the correct choice to make to try them out even if I don't feel "fresh"?

10:39 As well as Engineering, I would add Maths and Computer Science to that list, Further Maths A Level is a very big advantage applying to those degrees, and at some universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial etc), is effectively a requirement.

i dunno about your experience with physics, but I understand the concepts really well, I'm really good at the maths part but edexcel always seem to ask really troll questions that make the exam papers so much harder than they need to be, I find the consistency between mark schemes to be awful, for example from edexcel I've seen anywhere between 2 markers and 6 markers on "how are standing waves formed on a string"?!?!?!?!?!

AQA here, and it's literally the same, a chemistry A level paper, every question can just be answered from memorising text book notes and understanding concepts, but physics, soooo difficult u have to apply really specifically to questions and unpick small details to get it right.😤

Does anyone have any advice on whether I should pick A-level Chemistry or Geography? (My current choices are Maths, Physics, Computer Science and either chem/geog) At the moment, I’m getting grade 8/9s on all the subjects I want to take for A level, so I’m finding it quite hard to decide - especially because I enjoy both of them a ton! Which potential career choices would be influenced by taking chemistry instead of geography?

I found I was doing more biology than maths, further maths and physics combined. Maths is definitely the easiest. I would say biology, conceptually, is quite simple but the amount of content is ridiculous. Some of the questions for biology and physics suck. And physics conceptually is the most difficult, (it took me ages to understand the three variable relationship in potential dividers, and couldn't really find the answer I was looking for) but it's fantastic when you understand it. Further maths requires incredibly complex critical thinking and problem solving but not too confusing (a few exceptions like conics). But the grade boundaries are ridiculously high.

Why economics : i want to learn more stuff out of science im into finance/buisness/money management so i would wanna learn something tht relates to the REAL WORLD Why chemistry: Would facilitate my engineering degree Im already taking chemistry in gcses and finding it easy /manageable concept. Never taken anything related to econs or business… Would be more logical to do chemistry. But idk .

@emm_parker_ Now, my study tip that I really wish I knew earlier is that not every single revision method or tip works for everyone - revision is a very personal thing and it takes time to find what works best for you, and that may not be the same as everyone else; you have to stay committed and eventually you will instinctively know what revision methods to do! I am going to be doing my GCSEs next year, and if it were not for your videos, I would be nowhere near the place I am today . All I can say is thank you ! I am definitely considering taking maths, biology and chemistry at A-level so this tailored tutors course would be so great ! Thanks again for this amazing opportunity Jake and I hope your new job at Mana is going well :)
