Let’s talk about declarations of so-called ‘sanctuary cities’, by politicians. These are, in essence, announcements that various political sub-divisions are nullifying or refusing to enforce laws or intend to impede the performance of duly sworn authorities in the enforcement of said laws. 'Sanctuary Cities', ‘sanctuary counties’, and ‘sanctuary states’ are blatantly unconstitutional (or even anti-constitutional), since it is a declaration the Law of the Land does not apply in that bailiwick or jurisdiction. Think about it: that is an act of secession! If this is the American Republic, then the social contract (Federal Constitution and USC or federal statues) apply throughout. Why are sanctuary cities, sanctuary counties, or sanctuary states being tolerated or allowed to rebel with impunity? Because the Democrat Party’s DOJ has been corrupted (and politically weaponized) to the point that a court order, such as a Writ of Mandamus, will not even be contemplated by the courts. Other remedies exist as well: what about using Obstruction of Justice and RICO statues to enforce the laws? Our American Republic, is under the willful, deliberate attack of the Marxist Democrat Party, who wish to topple our nation’s social order. By subversion of our laws, and the destruction of our social order, they hope to ‘transform America’, so it is no longer an exceptional nation. Radical leftist politics have, to an alarming degree, transformed America, from an exceptional nation, to just another lawless banana republic!

Being a sanctuary city was all fun and games, until the migrants actually showed up in a bus from Texas.

Yay for Texas. Sorry but we voted no to having Sanctuary Cities. We are too overwhelmed and have been for a long time.

Yes a sanctuary city is a city that does not use local tax dollars to enforce federal immigration laws. That is a federal issue and enough tax dollars are contributing to those efforts from states. Sanctuary status is not impeding federal immigration authorities. Gov Abbot sending immigrants to cities is, however.
