Thank you for this video. I have been struggling for two years with a high track clipping the thumb. Drilled a new Squatch hybrid and moved the ring finger 1/8th reverse and it made all the difference. 571 last night. 678 tonight.

as soon as he said high track players are ring finger dominant i listened intently because thats the one thing ive noticed with my release is my ring finger is the last to go.

Great video explaining pitches, probably the most concise one that I've seen! However I have a question. The trend with professional bowlers lately seems to be more forward pitch in the thumb, and reverse in the fingers. Why do you think that is?

They don't wanna wear out their bowling four arm and wrist as they have to bowl about 25-50 games. I have two vise IT and my zero thumb pitch hurts my four arm and wrist after long practices then my 1/4th forward thumb pitch then again it could be just me trying to do to much with my back swing.

I bowl without a thumb, and I have a high track to the point of hitting my middle finger alot.. I use 3/8 lateral and 1/2 reverse pitch in both fingers, what would I do to move the track a little bit? Hope you can help me, thanks

I am a 58 year old left hander and I am considering purchasing the Results. I have already changed my ring finger pitch, because I am a high track player. I am still clipping the thumb and wonder if adding forward to my middle finger would be a step to consider? That is instead of rolling everything right.

Hey mo, what if both fingers have a forward pitch of 1/2 inch and the thumb is Rev 1/4? What does this do to revs?

I have never had a ball drilled to the way I bowl I just bought a zen master I bowl a back up ball I'm trying to learn how to bowl a normal right handed way I want alot of hook on the back end of the ball is the performance fitting the right drill for me with a relaxed/normal span fingertip grip?

I seem to loose the ball at the line If i pitch the thumb will i stay in the ball a little longer?

Seriously we need to get you a bigger board! You have so much knowledge and can't fit it neatly on that little white board. Can we get Mo a wider board!!!

Slight Span adjustment on the one finger, with respect to your pitches you don't have an equal amount of weight on each finger.

Great video Mo. Big question??? I'm a 220+ avg bowler, I keep popping ring finger nail & sometimes causes streak of blood underneath. What should I do to relieve the pressure on that finger & knuckle???

Same here. Curious to see the answer. I started playing with pitches because of my naturally "reverse curled" thumb hanging up on the back of the thumb hole, but still fighting those damn nail bruises.

I'm assuming the folks at the Kegel training center can do this

Mo, by listening to this description I am confused about one part. I have negative Axis Tilt.... -10 - 12 DEGREES. I am a lefty - What finger hole should I attempt to correct this issue and what direction should i go? I am working with Moon's proshop in Middletown, OH right now to help correct some of these issues. What do you think?

As a whole; the local pro shop isn’t doing this. Right? How can I in indianapolis get this done for me?

I live in Southern Maryland. Where would the best place to go to make sure I am fitted properly, so I don't lose revs? I'm a league bowler, but have been bowling since I was a kid. Asking for a friend.

Where do you bowl? Pre covid I was Thursday night at Waldorf. I go to a guy in VA. A lot of people like guru at world class.

I have a very high track on the ball and I'm no thumb, right now I have alot of forward pitch in both fingers.. What would you suggest I change my finger pitch to? I feel like I have to grip the ball now and I know I shouldn't be doing that, and my track hits my middle finger alot with pin up balls.. Any suggestions @RadicalBowling

Is it right that a ball will roll more forward when it has a lower RG or is that something I just heard?

Lower RG the ball will hook earlier, higher the ball will push down and hook later

My PSO shortened my span and added a bunch of reverse to both fingers. Since then the tendons and ligaments in both fingers ache and my game has suffered because this layout is causing me to squeeze. It's very difficult for me to get out of the ball cleanly.

So what does a forward pitch of 1/2 inch for fingers and a 1/4 reverse on the thumb do? The guy that fitted me gave me a 1/2 inch pitch forward with 3/8 to the right. Thumb is 1/4 down and 3/8 to the right.. if a Rev pitch adds Power and forward decreases power how is it that my ball hooks?

The fact that I'm watching this simply because my Pro Shop guy is a dirt bag and can't seem to drill any of my balls correctly is ridiculous! I've had three new balls drilled by him about a month ago and the thumb on both my Axiom Pearl and my Pitch Black are quite different. I'm able to get out of my Pitch Black perfectly fine but the Axiom Pearl is dragging on the right side of my thumb near the knuckle and it's causing the skin to rip off which leaves me with raw skin that is extremely sensitive to touch. So as soon as it happens I have to force myself to stop bowling and let it heal for a couple weeks. I've had to leave league nights early because of this. It's frustrating because I've been bowling for 30+ years and haven't dealt with this kind of issue since I was really young. Not sure what I should do at this point but I'm quite sure it's due to my Pro Shop guy changing the axis pitch of my thumb. He said he noticed on my Hammer Gauntlet (old ball) that I brought in that the pitch for my thumb was a lil unusual. Mind you I've love that ball and have for years and never had issues with it during release or any sores from rubbing/etc. He says he could make the pitch "better" so of course I'm like hmm.. sound great? WRONG! I wish I never went along with him when he said he could make the pitch "better" for my new ball compared to how it was with my Hammer. Now when I release the ball instead of it coming off the back side (normal place of thumb) now the ball is coming off the right side of my thumb and that's what's causing the damage/rub. Long comment.. sorry... I'm just mad this is making it to where I can't even go practice.

I’m 68 year old lefty and have arthritis in my ring and middle fingers. I’ve had 2 new balls drilled out this month hoping to alleviate some of the pain. So far, nothing has worked. I wish Mo was still around to let me know if I’m finished bowling.

Isn't it middle finger = high track and Ring = low?

No. Middle finger dominant is higher tilt and ring finger dominant is low tilt. Easy to confuse tilt and track though
