Osteophytes (bone spurs) in the spine are smooth outgrowths that appear around the edges of the vertebrae and on the facet joints. Osteophytes are most commonly seen in the lumbar spine (lower back), but they can occur anywhere in the spine. Sometimes osteophytes are found in places where they can put pressure on the spinal cord or nerve roots.

I have had osteophytes on my lumbar spine and SI Joint since my early 30s. My range of movements are already impaired and the pain is unbelievable. I hate it. There’s nothing they can do.

I started ostephytes in femur when I was 17 years....at 52 i started neck ...then 54 went lower back....my life turned hell ....now I want to euthanize my self.....luckily it's legal in Canada.....no one understand iyour pain sufferings... I'm in severe depression ....can't sleep.....

I have this. Moderate degenerative disc change at C5-6 with broad disc bulge and endplate osteophytes eccentric to the LEFT which result in mild spinal cord compression (no abnormal cord signal intensity) and severe LEFT foraminal narrowing compressing the exiting LEFT C6 nerve root. Should I be worried.?
Nothing have medicine just only massage where the pain comes with ur finger tips and do excersize and proper diet I cured myself osteofytes..

@@jaisonmascarenhas2479 I went to neurosurgeon once, gave me painkillers and some muscle relaxer. its been two years. Now I will go for a proper treatment, but before treatment I Will have to earn some money. I believe there is a solution of every problem as far as you can afford that solution.
