What are MLPs (Multilayer Perceptrons)?

Learn about watsonx: ibm.biz/BdvxRg
Ever wondered how AI is able to mimic human thought in order to perform complex tasks?
In this video David Adeyemi explains how the MLP, or multilayer perceptron, provides a method for modeling our own ability to learn within artificial intelligence.

Could someone please tell me how is he able to write in such a way? Does he have a real glass or sth there? Not to mention that he would have to write all of that mirror-like. BriTheMathGuy does the same and I always wondered how it's done. Nice video btw, thanks!

If you think about it this doesn’t do a good job presenting anything to any particular target audience. It’s absolutely awful for a beginner, and useless to the advanced learner

This guy is just describing a bog standard neural net. A matrix with rows of vectors multiplied by weights, with bias values added, an activation function and back prop on the derivative for error correction. It's just a series of n-d transformations of latent space. Why call it "Multilayer Perceptron". Are you trying to brand something simple to sound cool?

Because that's what they are called. Do you want to force textbooks to go back decades and rename every single reference to them?
