I actually joined SimPvP in 2013 (2 years after it was founded), however I am currently an admin and have been for years, and I’ve played on the server consistently for 9 years. endcrystal is pretty neat. I joined a couple weeks back, it’s very chill anarchy. There was a Halloween event planned that I was excited to check out, and it got griefed before they made the coordinates public. 11/10, would highly recommend.

bright future for an anarchy server? i mean if you're a 4chan basement dweller, sure...

I've played on SimPvP for a few months short of a decade, this video is good but a few details are different from what I remember: 1) The top admin isn't ostrich1414, it's Yukarion 2) The current map is around 11 years old, not 6 (no resets since 2011) 3) It's a slight exaggeration to say a player was doxxed, as long as you're not careless with your personal information, you don't have much to worry about 4) This one isn't really your fault but I don't think it's quite right that people consider SimPvP a "2b2t alternative" since it was created before 2b2t got famous, so it's really more of its own thing with some coincidental similarities. The first time I logged on, I'd never heard of 2b2t

Nice video, thanks for mentioning the last supper map project. One thing to note about oldfrog though which wasn’t mentioned here is that besides carpet and rail duping, the server is practically dupe free with most items being obtained with farms and/or mods. This has created a trading economy many others servers lack, as well as meaning that maps have never been reset, which is one of the reasons we have a very large mapart community.

@@CineZoneYT For a while he did that yeah, and still does if he finds out about it, and a lot of the community has been fine with it because it has been dupe free for so long that people have grinded out insane amounts of items, so a dupe would just wreck everybody

4b4t is still up and kicking to this day, with a lot of history with it being the oldest clone. I believe it's still worth mentioning, as it has no abuse, 32ks, and it is on 1.16.5.

This new Paper version for 6b6t could truly revolutionize Java multiplayer as a whole. I really hope they will contribute their code publicly. It can do so much good for Minecraft Java edition as a whole.

Some years ago I made a decently large hidden base at approximate 4k, -10k on 9b9t. Water temple concealed as a (boring) island, and converted to xp farm. A year after I stopped regularly playing there I found it to having been discovered and raided. I'm not sad about it, just remember thinking it lasted much longer than I first anticipated.

There's a subgenre of anarchy called vanilla, which differs from anarchy on the rules that no hacked clients or dupes were allowed (in addition to real life crimes naturally), that saw a pretty significant rise during the covid period. Purity vanilla was the one that I always found myself playing on as more mature and edgy, but also simpler type of server than most

Servers like VforVanilla allow players to greif, kill, and otherwise behave as they wish without having cringe plugins or cheats breaking the default game. In otherwords, Anarchy.

Big up 9b! Not sure about the level of difficulty you placed on escaping spawn tho, build limit roof makes it easy.

you also have to notiec that the 0b0t chunk dupe is so easy that there are MULTIPLE bots that tpa you and drop kits after accepting their tpa when you type -kit $kit !kit or anything similar in chat lol

Ive been here since 2018 and I'm torn about this. The bans and white list have done a good job at stopping the bad lag. Having people constantly lag the server makes server costs go up and donations were drying up. So I feel overall it's good but it does bother me a bit. No server is true anarchy but I do feel that bans for anything kinda crosses a line no other big anarchy server has crossed. For better or worse. I personally tend to lean slightly towards better.

I remember being an anarchy player in 6b6t in about late 2020, a lot of fun (and bad) memories, I participated on the 2020 Christmas party where 0,0 had pvp off, people who left the 100 block radius would get slaughtered instantly. It was one of the best minecraft anarchy experiences I had actually and iirc I left shortly after Lee_ sold the server to the new owners

9b9t is actually pretty easy to escape if you get to the nether highway and don't run, out 10k blocks it is livable. Not thriving, but livable.

Used to play a lot of 0b0t in 2019, quit for a while and hopped back in over lockdowns in 2020 and 2021. I think a friend of mine still has some 2019 spawn PvP footage from when the server had 20 players on a good day, and there was a huge staircase in nether spawn that people would PvP on. In I think 2021? A couple of us supremely pissed off PvPers by placing lava all over nether spawn and witherbombing the place, which led to lava being disabled near 0 0 in the nether. Personally I also completely paved over the bedrock with obsidian, which ticked loads of people off but did make for some really fun PvP terrain. I'll have to see if I still have screenshots, though I might've lost them all after PC issues last year.

I read about multi-paper about a year ago, and had wondered what ever became of it. I don't think it was called that at the time, but it was clear that it's implications were huge when it comes to anarchy servers. I think it is only a matter of time before it is working well enough that it becomes the norm.

Ive settled down in 9B, I dont jump online often though, but I do occasionally get back on to do a little mining and check to see if my little shack is still up

I play on 6b6t, I do love the idea of an open-source Paper code. Might find a proper dupe soon again. Ikea v3 is dead 😢

when I first played old frog, I escaped spawn, and I encountered a player in full Dimond armor, and the player tried to kill me, but I logged out and relogged back into old frog and the player trapped me in a netherack box full of lava and I escaped the box

as old 4b4t player, i remember jj and other player ask the owner to fix the lag. at the time some people got there ip stolen by the owner allegedly.

I wish u put openanarchy, even tho its not even online, it had an organic spawn and ppl didnt start duping until 2 months after it started (it started in 2019) it had a good spawn with alot of griefing and lavacasts, and more and some cool larper history

I tried again 2b2t, wait for the queue, played and get disconnected, i get the same issue few years ago all the time, i don't 2b2t anymore, playing 15mins and get to the queue for another 3 hours, it's too much.

I used to be a major 6b6t player, and at the time it was damn near perfect however it was all ruined when the server updated past 1.16
