Do you still have them today ?
Yohhh that's me in the video-- almost at end ---🤘🏼😂
This channel needs more love. Got great advice from here and inspired me to go free form this time around
It's impossible not to manipulate the growth of the hair if you are washing the roots of the hair correctly 💯 The hair develops character during these washings.
Loved the vid bro, been loving my locs hella recently. The freeform movement is definitely growing. Peace and one love. ✌🏼💚
Finally this is being brought to attention. Freeform gets used loosely . Almost 1.5 years with my natty roots 🤙🏾
Gratitude for this video. Thank you Knot Locks for the dreadspiration!
Love this for explaining free form locs to others who didn’t think they were clean or beautiful. Very informative, considerate and to the point. ❤
Bro you helped me so much one time you reacted to my tail dreads a couple year back and told me I should stop and now my hair is completely freeformed thank you 🙏🏾 😀
Awesome video! Unique collaborations. This was great knowledge and advice.

Thanks for the suggestions and sharing 👍🏾
Thats cool you got to meet troy blyden! He seems like a down to earth kinda dude.loved the vid.i just love to see other peoples dreads!!!!
I’ve had dreads 2 times. 1st was traditional twist, 2nd was semi form sponge dreads. This is my 3rd journey. It’s 100% freeform a no line ups nothing but I’ve noticed wit my freeforms it’s taking a lot longer for my hair to noticeably gain length Ik the length is there is jus doesn’t show
I cant wait to start the journey
Thanks for asking me to be a part of this. You’re a legend 🙏🏾
I started my freeform dreadlocks last year and after ever washing and shampooing I condition it with coconut oil conditioner, I also use the sponge brush method
Love it bro keep up yhe amazing work and i will keep my locks rocking as well
Great video man!
Now dats a video my 🔒bro i needed it today 💯4eva🔒'D
All my favs in one video!!
Love this video
Great video. I seperate my locs but you should see the free-form locks on my horse 😊 proving again, straight hair locs ✌️ I love all hair!
I love how confident these ppl are be strong guys ignore the haters
Thanks for the video bro, didn't really learn anything new this time but was still a great watch. Myself im currently rocking my second loc journey and decided to go full free form this time no comb, only homemade natural shampoo. the most manipulation my current locs get is me wearing a headband so they don't fall in my face all the time My first sec of locs I had from 18-30, backcombed and I was poorly informed on what freeforms really was (I had been told being white my hair just won't naturally do it, being a lot more naïve then I just accepted it) Sadly I can understand and relate to why some white folk have hard time getting freeforms, a lot of information is often BS out there, a lot of very angry racist reactions to face up too and its not uncommon for family to treat you like some outsider. Despite the challenges im still stoked about my freeforms, it shocks me how much nicer the hair texture is and how healthy compared to my older loc, I never realized how much backcombing and twists really do beat out all the natural patterns you would of had if you didn't force it.
much love fam
I love different types of locs
❤ love this video
ONE LOVE my brother❤️💛💚🤙🏽
Thank you for the video. Free form dreads are a way to get in touch. Its the natural way human hair wants to grow. Appreciate you for showing type 1-2 dreads as well, as some are lost enough to believe race corresponds to human hair.
I got my locs crochet hooked in and the hairdresser told me wax them every day and come back every 3 months and you will get nice locs but 2 days in I realized I didnt want the maintained look nor do I want to use a bunch of product in my hair Im about 5 years in now with congos and fingers. Im white so I have a lot of frizz but I learned to embrace it and enjoy the free and natural journey. Thank you for educating me when I started because one of my friends inspired me to not care about the fact that im white and Knotnation is the one that educated me on the proper way of keeping them going. I use Dr Bronner tea tree oil for anyone wondering.
W Video! 🔥

I have never grow my hair out till bout a year an a half ago and I've always wanted lots or freeforms but idk if I can be that patient lol definitely tryna wait till my hair is longer before I get them started though, it's only down to my chin.
I like that I just separate it and then leave it covered. Other than washing and moisturizing it, I leave it be. I love my freetheroots microfiber towel 😅, then I let it air dry
I already have 2 dreadlocks forming freely and it's only been a wk. But lucky me I have naturally curly hair so I'm really excited about it. I'm sure I will do fine. and I'm doing it to grow the patience. I'm also curious to see what it will look like in a yr or 2. Aka. Crazytrain❤😊
Everybody looks so 🔥 y'all beautiful
Nayshunn‼️
aye wassup gang! just checkin in from philly...love everybody here! I've been locking for about 6 years & I started growing my sides & back in from a hightop fade style about 6 months back. I see now little locs starting to form even though most of the hair is matted . I now only get a blow out cut where there are tapers on the sides and back so there's more room for the previously faded hair to grow. I wish I could send pics on the comments but, I'm going to try to make time to start making videos of my journey to show y'all on my own channel and send to Knot Nation. 😀💯
2 years in tomorrow! 🖤🖤🖤
I started with comb coils. but I am letting them turn to free form there.
The disclaimer 😂
Hi thanks for the video all hair will form into one lock that's free forming
Yeah!!! Let's get matted!!!
Starting locs right now
Started my free form November 2015 and still going. My dreads are long to my buttcheeks
Natty dread natty dread !!!! Grow your dread.
Finna cut my free-forms and start afresh .... what i got ain`t comin up the way i expected maybe coz i`ve been touching , streachig and moving my hair a lot .... been on for 3 years finna start afresh without touching my hair and let it form shapes without me separating and non .... though i`m supper emotional when i think bout cutting 🤦♂️
Thanks for the info. BTW, Jojoba is pronounced "HoHoba."
That's how mine look 👀
it's not because hair are clean that they will do locks. It's because water stretches hairs. Hairs do yo-yo when they dry up and this is what will do the locks.
Thank you for the love and support you all are offering it really helps 💜🙏🏼 Rastafari
I want freeform locks so bad but I’m worried about the stigma and trying to get a job after I finish school. My ancestors are Celtic and Viking and I have natural red hair and I have always loved freeform locks.
Knotty gang / crew

I am a believer and I have traditional loc but I have decided to stop twisting my hair and I just want to know the right way of doing this
I call myself semi because the back is completely freeform but the top was towel rub
Semi freeform or "messy locs". I twisted mine originally then just let it do it's own thing.
Let mother nature handle it I love that
I just cut my manipulated locks 2 yrs ago. I immediately started my freedoms. 2 years later its refreshing. All i do is wash my hair dry it ( sometimes with a towel sometimes air dry ) and go about my day. Its not a difficult or complicated process. it's freeing. There are times that you may want to rush the process, don't. A wise man once said, it's not about the destination. It's about the journey. I can tell some going to be flat some are going to be round. Some are clumping. It's what ever tho. Just ride it out and see how it goes. I have pictures throughout the journey so far, I'm thinking about sharing them but idk

Oh I have type 3 hair type. And I must say one day you wake up and touch your hair and see that some of them are maturing. Some of them aren't some of them start growing together. It's almost like neighbors coming together at a cookout. Hey Mary, looking feel weird to you but I know during my journey I typically random people giving me positive comments.. Embrace the lock Dreadication
100% natural freeform dreadlocks Letting it do what it want to do residue-free shampoo wash and go Free the roots shampoo soap bar.!!!!💯💯😎😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
To be completely honest with you I don't think my wavy medium fine hair is very fond of knotting itself into locs however as I said I know some people with very fine straight to wavy hair where the hair seems to go into that shape very easily and readily a friend of mine has the coolest freeform locks that he did not have to start in any way his hair just likes the shape, just because there is so much controversy around it I want to put the information out here
😊
can towel drying count as freeform still? Ill probably stop soon but I have straight hair just helping em get started, I like to see the progress and messy hair after drying
Just let your locs do what you want. There’s no specific way to grow them the journey is yours
Everybody shout out to brendo dynamite when you see this vid!!!!
Wish I never cut them now Im starting over again from my ancestor's religion the rasta.
The only manipulation I do is separate them after they've loced/Kongo
Easy for this guy to say; he is giving much FACE/baby is FINE.
08:58 is that girl on the right... is her hair forreal that long????Also the guy in the middle looks great, too!!

I would'nt doubt it, I've seen rather long dreadlocks on type 1-2 hair. My longest one is about a foot and a half, and ive only been growing my hair for 7ish years.
Day 1: 01-26-24
My hair would have never locked by itself. I understand the mindset but how is starting a loc journey with some manipulation, but not touching it from then on still aren't freeform
If i leave my loose hair alone it will never dread its too straight. I have to encourage it by twisting etc
Can I used hat for work
Anyone else led by Yeshua to loc? And while natural seems the goal, he insists the fingers bring knowledge and formation.

I don't think I was led by Him, although I'm a Christian 😊 Personal preference, that's all. I'm doing freeforms 😊

Is it possible to go from twisted manicured dreadlocks to Freeform without starting over?
@Nightsjourney2dreams
2 ай бұрын
Yes that's pretty much what I did I had started with tiny twisties with no parting system and took them out cuz they looked like sht so I 2 strand twisted and didn't part, it's high top locs,I did however retwisted palm roll but I didn't go down to the root cuz the main thing for me with freeform is the roots
Got 12 wicks had them for a year and a half I’m going to let them be and let them freeform see how big these congos get and see if big gorilla fingers will hang off of them
Too much rules, just let em go,first time I grew my locks was summer of 1991-summer of 1998,7 year vow unto Jah Almighty, proving I and I Rastafari second time 2003-2013 another vow unto Jah,after cutting them I burned them in a bonfire as an offering unto Jah. Jah guide Jah bless... Rastafari
So pretty much NO CAUCASIAN can ever have freeform locs but I've got some of the closest that it could be
