@@psych_shock4370 It's different "frames".. basically the same consciousness/person but in a different "armor". Think of it as they are wearing the right "clothes" for the right situation.

By watching ur videos I realise how much I didn't understand by reading the story. As a new player we are thrusted into the pgr world with terms such as M.I.N.D., inver device, deviation etc and its all VERY confusing. Ur videos are so helpful and well done!!! Literally Kuro games should include them in the game just explain to people what the heck is going on!!!

The way the story is told doesn't help either. It's text text text with few illustrations and very few actual cutscenes. I don't know if it's just me but I suspect that People in general who are not used to mobile games or Visual Novels will find that boring, at least in the beginning. Although i do play visual novels but of the dating sim type. If PGR had dating sim elements it would be easier for me to want to read the cutscenes

Lore thoughts time. We know already that Rosetta and the ARU/Forest Guard constructs are prone to M.I.N.D Deviation due to their non-human Frames. But Nanami was never human to begin with. I wonder, could she use a non human frame without issue? How does her M.I.N.D work compared to that of a regular Construct? Then we have Camu and Kamui. Is Camu's Compositor playable version Camu's mind made separate? Camu and Kamui exist as separate entities and can have a separate M.I.N.D? Also, I know that playing Alpha doesn't make sense lore wise altogether but she also has an Inver Device, whereas Roland and Gabriel do not (visibly). Does she keep it for emotional reasons or is it necessary for the AscNet?

I like the explanation, easy to digest and understand. I may not have played the game due to phone limitation but this information educates me on the basic of the PGR game and what can I see beyond the game itself.

To put it simpler they input human brain on a robot. Same thing as the movie chappie. Where they are a human before but.. they inputted thier consciousness on a robot. Thats why they have a backstory as a human.

Serum used to combat the virus Side effect include losing sanity when it's depleted as you wait for it to fill up

Damn, finally some explaination, i've played pgr since the global ver came out and there's a lot of terms in the story that i dont know, hope i found this explaination sooner lol .... another questions i would like to ask is what's compositors ? Is it different from construct ?

Not sure if it's too late to ask, but was wondering if you could do a video on distinguishing between constructs, ascendents, transcendents, compositors, uniquants, & what makes them all different.

Now this is a great explanation

"Recalling" becomes quite a polemic subject further on the story. It is not something our heroes and protagonist deal much with (aside Lucia) but it is a sketchy backdoor that allowed them to transfer consciousness but with a heavy loss of memories and sometimes the sense of self. basically, if you are a construct, you don't really want to have to "recall". very cool lore videos man! thank you ror making them.

What happens to the original body of the constructs tho?? Are they kept in stasis as the 'original' of the construct, or maybe their bodies were just taken apart and sent somewhere else ( for research or organ donations perhaps )

It's certainly not preserved anywhere, not in one piece, at least The game tells us 2 things- to become a Construct, a human body needs to show positive reactions to a substance called "Tantalum-193" And the process involved extremely painful surgery

the following lore aren't available to Global version yet so considered spoiler alert . . . . . . . . . . basically all of them are Infected/Corrupted but with little difference one of their common point is in some way they're link to Ascendants Network (refer to as Ascension Network on global version) to become Ascendants or Compositor first you have to be selected to be eligible to take the Ascension Network Trials The Selection can only be done by a being/entities called The Agent (or Surrogate Ascendants) and global player are already met one Agent which is Luna , Lucia sister Once you take the Network Trial there's only 2 way for it you either passed the trials or failed it Those who fails will become mindless Corrupted Those who passed the trials will be given a choice to either Connect to Ascension Network or not to connect Compositor are the beings that passed the network trials but chose not to connect and they have ability to control the virus level inside them so they can remain sane and not become corrupted Ascendant on the other hand are the beings that passed Network trials and chose to connect to Ascension Network , by doing this it grants them ability one step above compositor , an ability to control Punishing Virus at will and they can use this ability to manipulated the virus to strengthened their strengths I'm certain Global player already see Alpha (aka Original Lucia) despite how she looks she's still rely on her raw skills and strength most of time and only small portion of Punishing Virus is boosted her strength , so you could say she never resorted to full power yet where she uses Punishing Virus to maximum capacity to boost her strength though for the Agent (Surrogate Ascendant) on the other hand are different , they're shrouded in mystery no one knows how are they being created or how are they got selected to become the Agent in the first place We only know that they're one step above Ascendant , they can chose which person can become Ascendants , they have more influence and authority over the Punishing Virus , they're the being that giving out order to Ascendant which they have to obey (by more authority is there's this one time in future chapter where Ascendant Roland attempt to control certain Corrupted and he failed to do so because someone with higher authority already controls them so it's easy to assumed that this is a work of certain Agent)

Me think of them as Cyborg. Human by origin, had feeling and thought, consciousness but synthetic physically.

so essentially when human a Becomes a construct the original human probably dies but have their consciousness copied and live on as a construct so the reason theres 2 Construct of the same consciousness currently active aplha & lucia B is because they're just a copy of real lucia that was the original and had a soul so alpha isn't even the real lucia but rather she's the first launched version of her after the real lucia probably or most likely died and a construct dying is a permanent death but they still have back up conscious them dying is similar to computer or phone permanently shuting down due to system damage that is beyond repair. have you watched Invincible a great example of this is the Mauler twins and Robot.

Constructs are 100% mechanical. They got an digital copy of their once analog brain. Think of it as you 3D scan a brain and convert it into a digital Neural Network.

So those weird horn headphones things on their heads are Inver Device without it they can’t communicate with each other. But what about Ayla’s hat, is it also an Inver Devices?

Our Lucia (Lucia B) is a backup conscious of Lucia (Alpha) Real human Lucia and Luna are probably most likely dead (as kids when they were selected to become constructs) if a soul exist in PRG they probably had one. And All constructs are just Artificial Intelligence that has the consciousness of the real versions Just a computer that mimics human behaviour due to the consciousness of the real one being copied then put into a construct body Lucia started fighting at the age of 11 Probably in her same construct body as she is using now and 6 years later She gets betrayed and gets replaced By a backup conscious that would be our lucia but this lucia had a few memories erased Anyways the real ones may be dead But their consciousness lives on.

Think of it these way You Volunteer to become a construct You a living human then the next thing you know your in a construct body you have all your memories and you see your human body Then let's say the doctor/scientist is there what the scientist sees is a A.I clone that thinks they are the original The scientist knows the human volunteer is dead and what he sees is a A.I clone of a human that thinks they are the original Alpha is the first Lucia construct Our Lucia gray raven is technically the 2nd Lucia clone with alpha being the 1st So even alpha is a clone A.I Real real Lucia is dead died as a child

I wish i could play PGR. :( I had some issues with the emulators ( VT enabling means messing with my motherboard and i am not confident in doing that). You did an amazing video here, really interesting, it adds so much more depths .

Spoiler: According to CN, the recall is actually a hoax. When constructs "die", they die, for real. Recalling is just a propaganda Babylon created to hide the truth and the awful reality of constructs and that being one doesn't make you "immortal".

Wait, I thought that constructs were humans with augmented bodies. So in reality they are entirely artificial?

Its uhh really easy ngl Lets do it on a nutshell shall we? Luna - a girl taken by Kurono and ran an experiment on her, didnt "end" well and disposed her... Only to have her rip and tear OG Lucia (Alpha) - Former Gray Raven member who got backstabbed by the former commandant, got knocked out on a battle and was retrieved by Luna and co. Roland - some theatre kid became a Kurono experiment lab rat, got uncaged and ran his show Gabriel - he's a mystery guy Roseblade - Alfred but corrupted and can sword fight, was a loyal guy before being infected Nozzle - a paint robot that got corrupted, sees destruction as art Tifa/Iron Maiden (not to be confused with Final Fantasy) - Former Suzaku construct, had gotten wiped out and she only remained, decided to be a bad guy for once and gets killed Rosetta - A.R.U unit that protects the Narwhal even if the virus gets the best of her Amberia - "supposedly" hope of humanity, the only Construct-Human hybrid that gets killed by... Rosetta Sharkspear - Just a toy, Gabriel's toy perhaps Thats all i can think off, wait... Nanami - not really a boss but she just wants to see your construct's M.I.N.D ... So they beated her up

I love when games give in game lore as excuses for poor mechanics or very obviously video-gamish mechanics so immersion isn't ruined lol Only bad mechanic I see so far as a brand new player is the 'energy' required to actually play the game. I only 2 other games that had this and it sucks when games have this whole, "you need to wait a while to play the game again" thing. Idk if running out in this game is a thing yet tho

But what happened to the construct's original human body? Was it preserved or smthng?

But what about case like Lucia? Lucia is copy of Alpha which is the real Lucia, doesn't that make that construct consiousness are pretty much a mimic of their human counterparts? Making them 100% a machine?

So we're does the consciousness of the construct come from? Is is just a bunch of data with no origin point like a person?

Well, yeah. Constructs by defintion are androids as they no longer have organic parts. Not even their brain which stores their conciousness. The first frame of any constructs are probably made from their original bodies so i won't call them having an implant but anything that comes next are exactly what you said

Their not cyborgs. Cyborgs are organic/synthetic mix. Those are Reptoids or Androids. 100% Mechanical robots with an AI Neural Network copied by scanning a humans brain.

So, in short: You gotta chrome the F up, choom. Just don't go borgin' out unless you have someone to pull you from the edge.

Spoiler Alert: The comments based on the further story Nice analysis, but as a CN player, what I want to tell you is ‘recall’ doesn't exist. We always use ‘restart’ but not ‘recall’. Death is equal to most construct and human. Lucia is only a special case. And even her S Rank(ice) type loading her memory in the past, she feels that these memory doesn't belong to her. Tha facts about MIND System hasn't been described in detail by KL GAMES. Some players think constructs are only the humans who have different bodies(real iron man lol). But some players think the humans who turned into constructs had died. MIND system is just a simulation program by AI tower. The program can even give the constructs illusion that ‘I'm still alive’. I think it's close to a philosophical question lol.

Ah yes, Recall, totally reliable and trustworthy way to stay alive for a Construct, am I right guys? :D

I'm curious as to why there are no actual Cyborgs in the game. Cuz the Constructs are just androids with an actual human consciousness. Where are sat for example even the Cyberpunk style augmented humans in the game? Or are the commandants actually are augmented humans? Hope we'll see some actual Cyborgs in the future. (Organics (partial or otherwise) >>> Full Cybernetic Synthetics.)

To be honest, I feel like Constructs are very close to Cyborgs. (Over Androids or Robots) But still not quite 100% I feel. Hopefully we get more answers in the future of the story to see where it stands :D

@@IslandXD Well I initially thought of constructs as Cyborgs as well. But the general definition of Cyborgs are that they are made up of a mix of Organic and Cybernetic/Machine parts. And considering how the construct bodies are completely made up of inorganic materials (as far as I know) it would be kinda inaccurate to call them Cyborgs. Even their consciousness is technically just a digital copy of the original individual. And yeah. Hopefully they'll explore all this more in the future.

since the punishing virus can directly affect organic bodies, having a partial organic body as in cyborgs would leave those organic parts susceptible to the virus anyway. Constructs are set up so that they're immune to the physical effects of the virus, because of their fully artificial bodies, while being more resistant to corruption than ordinary A.I., because they have simulated human minds. if we go with the cyborg, it will be just like the captain who needs to take serum every time they're deployed. we can imagine that the serums are a more limited resource so they can't be used on every soldier. The current setup with mind beacon and inver-devices is essentially a force multiplier for serum efficiency, since you only need to use one person's worth of serum for 3 more soldiers

I think the concepet of this 'conciouseness' is closer to 'soul' rather than 'brain', that's why it can be recall without physical transportation, or direct interaction between each other. So it is a bit different from tradditional cyborg.

They’re artificial beings with human qualities. Therefore they’re more like an independent ai like ultron

So to put it constructs are robots with human like thinking and design

They're basically super constructs that can operate independently and in zones with super high virus concentration.

Ok. Lucia(lotus) is the leader of Gray Raven along with Liv and Lee. Before they become construct, they were humans like normal. The Punishing Virus is like Covid19. Lucia and others have been turned into construct or (super soldiers 🤷). They are NOT cyborgs. And yes they have some kind of surgery

Cyborgs are a combination of your fleshy body with technology. Modern prosthetics are slowly moving toward this cyborg like concept. Constructs are not cyborgs. You could compare it to the Avatar movie, although in this case once you're turned into a Construct there is NO going back.

They also cost the most money

so... are they human... or are they not? Were they 'created' by humans or were they 'birthed' then changed completely?

Their bodies get a mechanical upgrade but it basically puts circuits and metal into their bodies which makes them more human
