What Are Circular Red Cards In Football? - GiveMeSport

Спорт

Referee Tony Harrington used a circular red card to signal João Gomes' dismissal in a recent FA Cup match between Brentford and Wolves. Circular red cards serve two purposes: they help colour-blind players and viewers identify the punishment, and they help referees quickly differentiate between yellow and red cards. The circular red card is not commonly used, but it has been seen before, such as in a previous FA Cup match between Wrexham and Sheffield United.

Colour Vision Deficiency, not "colour blindness". They're not blind, what they lack is cell receptors for colour. CVD is a recessive trait that occurs in the X chromosome. Since XY people (cisgender males, Trans women, and some Non-Binary people) have only one X chromosome, it's more likely to happen (8%). XX people (cisgender females, Trans men, and some Non-Binary people) have two X chromosomes, so it requires both to have the trait. Another trait that only occurs in XX or XXY people is FOUR colour perception, or tetrachromacy (1% of people, most people see only three colours). XXY people (cis males and Trans women, Klinefelter syndrome) happen about 1 in every 600 births, so almost all people with tetrachromacy are cis women and Trans men. Look up Australian artist Concetta Antico.
