Emperor Sem had 2200. Destiny HERO Defender had 2700, but had the drawback of letting your opponent draw each turn. Noble Knight Brothers with 2400 has the highest stats without any significant drawbacks (It just can't attack unless you had 2 other Noble Knights).

@@jamestomlin5525 don’t think so. In her case it seems she’s lost her motivation for fighting and forgot why she started. Gagagigo started as a vigilante then went through all those experiments to gain more power so he was always doing it to get stronger. She wasn’t interested in getting strong or fighting she just got lost in her mission and doesn’t know what to do anymore

@@jeezuhskriste5759 blue eyes white dragon was already really good with the n word pass equip spell card making a new blue eyes that benefits even more from it is blatantly ignoring the dangers of powercreep and would quickly get either it or the n word pass banned until either an easier to activate retrain of the 1984 field spell card is introduced or more support cards for it are made so i really hope konami goes back on the decision to print this specific blue eyes card, as it's just ban fodder

Meanwhile Gemini monsters need ALL the help they can get, so I decided to get especially experimental with this one. And since they only become effect monsters when you proc their effect, I decided to try and play with those perimeters with making it a type combo that simply doesn’t exist in the game otherwise, to open it up to loads of support. AND I couldn’t decide to make it rock or warrior like it’s inspirations, so I went with fairy because Millennium-styled EARTH Fairy monsters are all the rage right now. @@StarkMaximum You know what, I’ve come up with that card now for the cut effect: _Siphoned Strength_ Quick-Play spell _Target 1 monster in your hand or on your field; it gains the following effect while it’s on the field or in your hand:_ ⚪️ This card on the field or in your hand gains ATK and DEF equal to any decrease in your opponents LP, but cannot deal battle or effect damage. Once per turn (Quick-Effect), you can decrease this cards ATK or DEF in multiples of 2000; for every decrease of 2000 ATK or DEF, you can add 1 card you own to your hand that is not banished, but its effects are negated during turns where this card is on the field or in your hand. _If this set card is activated, you gain LP equal to any decrease in your opponents LP until the end of your next turn. You can only activate 1 “Siphoned strength” per turn._

I have a theory that why Charcoal Impachi has a higher stat value than monsters higher level than it is because it is a Pyro monster, which at least at the time it came out, had really bad synergy with other cards and lacked support.

In Masterduel we now have that level 4 baseball girls card with 2400 def

I love the last card. Awesome tuner for special cards like phantasmal lord

Now what are all the highest _combined_ ATK/DEF normal monsters? What about ATK/DEF records for the other kinds of monsters (effect, extra deck types, rituals, Gemini, etc…)

Highest stat vanilla is that rabbit dragon thing that has 2900/2900. As for ED monsters, that would be all the 5K beaters: Dragon Master Knight for Fusions, the Flower Cardian boss monster for Synchros, Galaxy Destroyer for Xyzs and Five Link Dragon for Links.

Hyozanryu was my favorite card WAY back in the day like 2004/2005. Just carried it around with me because I liked the way it looked. Love that it still holds a spot to this day! Great video, keep them up!

The reason why justicia guardragon has the same stats as crowned which is ib by the way is that ib was the one to unlocknthe World chalice and the dragon is the true Form of it

Dragon Core Hexer is such a cool looking card with really cool flavour text. She needs more love

Rabidragon is a good card for being normal monster, most lvl 8 have good Attack but low Defense with Atk/Def 2950/2900 you could never go wrong with that card, it has gotten me out of tough situations I tell you…

Power Pro Knight Sisters is a card exclusive to Master Duel that is a level 4 light warrior normal monster with 1200 atk and 2400 def. It is basically a retrain of Noble Knight Brothers but with the Power Pro Baseball characters, and without its effect. The art is them in a similar pose (with bats instead of swords). It is an actual playable card, although it is effectively limited to 1 because the event that handed it out only gave 1 to each player. The reason that Noble Knight Brothers was allowed to have such high def is that it has a negative effect (can’t attack unless you control 3 Noble Knights). By making a normal monster version of this card, we now have a 2400 def monster with no negative effects, which beats Battle Footballer and all other level 4s. There is also Power Pro Lady Sisters, a normal monster retrain of Harpie Lady Sisters.

It actually isnt exclusive to master duel, it is already out in the OCG, only the TCG is missing it. But since it is a colab for 2 normal monsters with no archetypes it won't be released for a couple of years down the road in the tcg.

There is a promotional card that hasn’t been printed in the tag but everyone in master duel and duel links got a four star normal monster with 2400 defense

I know this might sound stupid but next you could make the highest combined attack and defense stats in all normal monsters...

It's crazy how this list is now outdated because they decided to print a normal monster with no archetype in 2023 . The OCG just made a level 4 with 2400 defense which is kind of crazy considering red-eyes can't beat over it.

Ah, Jared finally redeemed himself for leaving Legaia off his Top Ten PSone RPG list from back in the day despite it being on the thumbnail xD But seriously, though, this was such a fun video, and reminds me of a lot of games I need to play!

I like how all 4 level 2 with 2100 DEF all ties to a summoning mechanic. Justicia is a Tuner for Synchro, Rabby is coming from the Xyz Melffies, Steelen and Metalfoes are Pendulum, and World Chalice is famous for their Link climbing strategy.

Dragon Core Hexer is actually the second part of a story started by Dragon Horn Hunter, a lvl. 6 pend monster that has the first half of her sad lore

3000 is kind of a benchmark in general, even for Effect Monsters. If any Monster has more than 3000 is either Stat baseline, usually that's meant to be a selling-point in and of itself.

Only just finding they never went over 2100 on a normal vanilla set. 2K was usually plenty, cause many of these beat out 2K attack ones to the punch. And could tie stat wall anyway. If you wanted big defense break out D Hero Defender. Whatever they draw won't be too crazy; they did just swing into your facedown.

There's a new vanilla level 4 coming out with 2400 Def. Power Pro Knight Girls is their currently translated name. I doubt they'll come to the TCG tho, they may remain OCG for a long time.

It'd be cool that there was a monster that requires 5 tributes to be summoned. It could be one of those "You win the Game" cards with a few restrictions. It doesn't need to be a good card, just something cool.
