Oxen which used to plough the field also comes from Cow. Milk products like paneer and ghee r loved by Indians. So, now u can see how dependent familes were on cows. Am so happy about the connections between USA and India - since my youth (now I am grandma) I liked India for it's spiritual culture, there is no other country in the world with so many Saints and Avatars, I read many scriptures and found the answers in the yoga-philosophy. Maybe many Americans know the "Self Realisation Fellowship", founded by Paramahamsa Yogananda in 1920, exactly 100 years ago, who doesn't know should at least read the "Autobiography of a Yogi". Yogis who are teaching western people, also consider the teachings of Christ (as in reality there is no difference in the essence of any religion, this the western people should understand), there is only ONE GOD with many names, and one human family. We can learn so much from India (and it's father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi). Jai Hind! Also I pray for the USA, that Potus will win the elections in November - he "will make America great again"!

My doctor is Indian, he's amazing. He actually sits and listens. He's board certified in two different specialties, super smart with so much kindness and the sense that he truly gives a damn whether you get better or not. Indian Americans have the highest median household incomes of all ethnicities, they kick ass when they come here. These are the immigrants we need, bright, hard working, polite people who come in and embrace our flag and our values, becoming true patriots, speaking our language and contributing to our communities. What a contrast to those from other places who get here and expect us to support them while hating America and isolating themselves.

@@robe9176 every brick of the palace is indian and if that isn't enough, we have hundreds of palaces better then this throughout india that were built by indian kings and in most palaces or parts of those palaces, kings still live. Although they don't have political powers now, they hold high position of respect. We have palaces which's doors, chairs, ceiling are made out of pure solid gold. This presidential palace is also very wonderful.

Don't be blinded, the country isn't what it appears to be. It's great to see them becoming more modern but their caste system among other issues create far more problems than you see here. Much of the people in their country are dealing with horrible living conditions among other issues. But it does appear they're slowly working on solving the issues, so long as it continues in that direction it's a good thing.
