This video on our daily allotted exercise, we wanted to make what resembles a normal Travel Beans travel vlog. We wanted to show you what British countryside village is like. This lockdown travel series will be split over the quarantine. This travel vlog we explore the village of Kewstoke in North Somerset UK. We were lucky enough to see some of the best of British wildlife when we stumbled across a couple of deer and a buzzard swooping.

⭐ About Travel Beans:
Welcome to the official Travel Beans KZread channel! On this channel, you’ll find a variety of travel and vlog content, in which you’ll see us in places like Thailand, Japan, USA, Slovenia, and more.
In 2017 we left home with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a sustainable travel lifestyle happen! We are now living our dream as digital nomads and want to inspire you to create your own story, whatever it may be!
After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.
Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

Oh you guys are making me home sick watching this. I now live in the USA after living in rural Hampshire near Basingstoke. I could almost smell the countryside and imagine walking those country lanes. Don't forget to show us the village pub. Great video, looking forward to some more of that great countryside.

I would kill for an allotment in Brooklyn! The wildlife description’s pretty on point for NY upstate, plus some coyotes, black bears, raccoons, skunks, etc, bramble, nettle, poison oak, poison ivy too. Nettle soup’s a revenge! That hole might be a badger... or a fox. I absolutely love the English countryside when rapeseed turns it all yellow. The deer: “It’s not often you see vloggers out in the English countryside, especially in the daytime.”

I live in a beautiful part of Canada, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but my second choice is North Yorkshire. Something about the place keeps calling me back. Maybe if I come into lots of money I could have a little place there as well. We get lots of animals here. Our deer are small black tailed ones, and they come into the yard and eat grass and plants, which I don't mind. You've got to be watchful while driving though. If one comes across the street in front of you, there are always a couple more following. This time of year, bears are waking up, and although they don't usually attack people, I like to stay away from the forests just in case. We also have cougars (mountain lions) to be aware of. Love your channel. Thanks for doing it!

😂The dog poo bag struggle is real 😂We couldn't believe it when we moved here that people would go to the effort to pick up and put dog poo in a bag, but then either put it in a tree or leave it on the ground! With the amount of rain we get here, it would wash away if you just left it out of the bag 😂 Man, NETTLE IS THE WORST. Hahaha it's so much worse than what you got in this video! We get snakes and spiders in Australia, but nettle is what everyone should be worried out. Had no idea about dock leaves being a cure though! We love Somerset and can't wait to get out and about exploring again. We try and go for a walk in the sun every day to help our mental state, and Malika also does yoga. Just got to get by day to day 😊

The writer Theodore Dalrymple talks about this sort of thing quite a lot. For instance people will go the trouble of putting rubbish into a plastic bottle and then throw the bottle out of their vehicle, as if they've done something good by putting the rubbish into one container.

Stay safe, keep smiling!!!! Chris.

Hey Alex and Emma, I think the holes are fox holes. We have them too. :-) And the purple bells are forest hyacinths (That what we call it. They bloom in this time of year. ) For mental health I do bike tours in our park nearby and just the calm and silence in the remote parts is very much helping. In this park there are no deer and maybe only 1 or 2 foxes but we do have swans, 3 types of geese and a pleiade of duck species and if you are very lucky you can spot kingfishers . There are wild rabbits and red squirles and many many rose-ringed parakeets. Can't wait to show them to you both one day :-)

I live in Northeast Arkansas and our state is called the natural state. It's actually a beautiful state. Lots of rivers, lakes and wildlife. We speak with a southern accent. Here is a small list of some of our wildlife. Mosquitos that I think are given steroids 😂 but seriously though. Barred owl and others too Deer of all kinds Bats Purple finches in winter Black bears Bobcats Foxes Rocky Mountain bull elk Pileated Woodpecker Mink American bald eagle Raccoons j These are some animals just to name a few. Sorry for the book lol. P.S. Google Eureka Springs especially pics during fall. One of my fav places to go. It's in northwest Arkansas. And only about an hour from Branson Missouri!! Beautiful video guys! We've definitely noticed more wildlife out since quarantine, and that's saying something, because we live near a greenbelt and there's always loads of deer, rabbits, heron, cranes, buzzards, owls, fish, frogs, snakes, armadillos, possums, and skunks around here. Those deer were awesome! You definitely don't usually see them during the middle of the day around here either. I love how they were looking at you like, "What are YOU doing out here?" haha Emma, Dominic says you should've grasped the stinging nettle just to get the full effect! 😜

As for allotments, they may be rented from the council but there is a hierarchy within the people who have them. It makes the infighting within academia look tame! Or so I am told by those who have tried allotments and then been excluded/bullied to leave. Fun in Suffolk :). Meanwhile I saw nuthatches today whilst sitting in the lockdown garden :)

Yes, the English countryside is interesting and quite lovely. The flowers were so pretty! I'd not heard of allotments before but it is a great idea for those who do not own property of their own. Just curious... after watching you both walking through the bushy paths... does the UK have poison ivy like we have here in the USA? I used to love exploring in the woods until I found out I was highly allergic to that evil plant. It seems to be just about everywhere here in Texas. Your woods are magical. For a moment I could almost imagine some little fairies popping up! We do have a few mean animals in our area but no badgers which do sound like a scary animal to me. I have always heard they can be very mean. How enjoyable to see the roe deer while you are out on your walk although I bet Alex would rather see more birds. The sheep are adorable. Have you been seeing lots of new babies since it is lambing season? Good ideas for those dealing with depression. I know some of us are struggling a bit at this time. Thanks for sharing. So glad that you have a nice space you can get out in while we are all waiting for this mean old virus to go away. And, I am glad Alex didn't lose his trousers. lol! Looking forward to the next installment.

I think the only "dangerous" animal we have is the adder. I know . Reptile. Gorgeous countryside. The best in the world of course

I have just noticed that the ‘famous pizza crunch restaurant’ was also the one for the Mars Bar in The Endless Adventure video - coincidence?

For visitors to the UK we do have one poisonous snake the Adder (fairly rare) and while Badgers may look cute they are defiantly not an animal to approach :) but hey we are not Australia you know where even the grass is out to get you :)

A friend joined as a volunteer at the Minsmere bird reserve in Suffolk. One of his jobs was to count adders. Apparently you operate in pairs. One person lifts the specially-placed correlated iron sheets during the heat of the day (where the adders seem to like to nest) and the other person (rapidly) counts!

of course once upon a time (just few hundred year back), wild boars, bears , wolves, elk roamed free....all gone now to make way for more and more hoomans (wild boars still somewhere though) Few thousand years back way more exotioc stuff roamed Britain, rhinos, lions and 100 thousand year elephants!

Beautiful nature, thanks guys! I've been pretty much doing the same thing as I live right next to the beach so we have loads of seabirds as well as some cool garden birds. Shell ducks are my current fave. Can't beat connecting with nature. I can only assume that the people who hung the poop bag in the tree like a Christmas bauble are not pure scruffy b!£$*^&s but it was just far too heavy to carry to the next bin! Shame on all who do that!

Great video, but doc leaves have no special healing powers over nettle stings. This idea is an old wives tale. What happens is that, as a child, you get stung, and it hurts, so lots of crying. So the adult says "Quick, go look for a doc leaf (which are not always close by) and rub it on the sting and you will be better". So, by the time a doc leaf has been found, (or any big leaf actually) and it is rubbed on the sting, enough time has passed for most of the pain to subside anyway. Job done.
