Hey Danya, thanks so much for making this high-level chess knowledge available for everyone to learn from. You are an EXCELLENT teacher. I've been watching your speedrun videos religiously for a long time now. At the beginning of this journey, I would struggle to actually predict the moves you make, even after taking your 'hints' into account. But now, I'm able to predict many, maybe even most of your moves, even before the hints. The way you talk through every move is pedagogical mastery. I feel like I now have a mini-Danya in the back of my mind that I can consult. I can ask myself 'What would Danya say?' and it actually helps. Keep being awesome :D

Hey Daniel, just wanted to say thank you so much! been playing chess since I was 9 years old with my dad, fell off the game for many years and got back into it because of you. In the past 2 months I’ve gone from 1082 to 1473 ELO, largely due to watching your videos. I always had talent for the game, but I just fell off of it around 13. I basically played to become good enough to beat my dad and then forgot about it. Your videos have helped reignite my passion for the game. I watch almost every day, your positional analysis and your explanation of the deeper principles of chess have allowed me to play like an adult rather than a child. Most people try only to show cheap tricks and traps that rely on your opponent making a mistake, whereas you explore lines of “best play” in a way that a non GM can understand. Trying to discover/create that “best play” has always been what I enjoyed about chess and you reminded me of that. Thank you so much for all the work you do. I wish great success for you.

A funny observation as a ~1700 Accelerated Dragon player - I employ the Hyper AD move order and actually get the open Sicilian VERY often at all levels from 1100 to 1700 in both blitz and rapid. Not sure why, the more common AD setup leads to so many anti-sicilians. Also glad to finally see coverage on the bind. Tho it's very funny that for instance Andrew Greet's book is like +50% dedicated to the Bind, yet it's unbelievably uncommon at the club level. So much theory for a line that white rarely even goes for.

Hi, to answer your question (not sure of the time stamp) Wesley So's 1e4 repertoire (if you meant the one on chessable) doesn't enter the accelerated dragon line that we see here. That's because we don't enter into open sicilian. Against 2.Nc6 we go Bb5 the Rossolimo. We do have some Maroczy bind, but it's from another line (2. ...d6 Bb5+ Bd7 Bxd7 Qxd7 c4) and maybe somewhere else too, but if so I don't remember it

13:11 I went to check from Stockfish and althought it says this position is equal I spotted as a 700 rated player the top engine move, which is to sac the rook for the knight! My 700 brain thought about sacing the rook for the knight and the pawn that recaptures the rook, but stockfish thinks that's a mistake, so I didn't see the contiuation, but sacin the rook for the knight at that moment is a viable option! You said you didn't see any really viable options of taking the knight back, but I and Stockfish (atleast the semi low depth) thought otherwise:D Okay it was mentioned immediatly after I continued the video, but I wanted to confirm that it's a viable option, you just got to move Qg3 next move according to stockfish and the position is equal. Oh I realized it, I think there's a forced repetition draw if black wants! That's the thing you missed. So yea there isn't a checkmate, but a there is a perpetual. White rook takes black knight on g5, xg5, Qg3 or Qg5, Kh8 forced, Qe5 and the y ou just check the king from g3 or g5, when it's on g8 and when it steps to h8, you check from e5 until you've repeated it three times. Okay yes you mention this at 16:12, sorry you didn't miss it. Anyways I'm proud of myself that I keep finding alot of these high level moves in videos (occasionally in games too), even thought I'm at novice level. Though in this case and in some other cases it's that I find the sacrifice that starts the mate, perpetual, material- or positional advantage sequence, but then I don't find the right follow up:D Like I said I wouldve picked up the pawn also after black recaptures the rook, which would've been a mistake.

Привет мои друзья! So Danya, I have heard tons of commentators say that you are one of the best, if not the best 3 min blitz players in the world! Just wanted to congratulate you on being bad azz

Keep up the good work sensei Danya! Do you do online classes? I would really want to join them.
