To all wondering or missed it: Amazon doesn’t test for weed. 😂 They treat it like alcohol. Don’t go to work impaired or use on the job. Treat it like a glass of wine at the end of the day. This is public info.

Just like any job, you are told a specific way to do things, then you show up for 1st day and your direct supervisors tell you to do it a totally different way. Then, you learn the REAL way from co-workers, because your direct supervisors were just covering their butts.

facts

The process of applying and being hired can be nerve wracking. Once you are a Amazon employee, everything else is smooth and easy.

As an express driver any respect to anyone out here delivering no matter the carrier. Love your videos keep up the good work!

I worked for FedEx , my contractor threw me under the bus when I had a bad accident . My wheels were balded and I hydroplaned wasn’t speeding or anything and I hit black ice and flew off a guard rail. He knew my tires were balded but to save himself he threw me under the bus and I can’t drive for FedEx ever again 😭

@@RelentlesslyMyself you think drivers dont take vehicle inspection serious? Like i got a flat but i'll give it a shot... No tread on my tires but I don't want to ask to use that van over there instead... or my backup camera is hangin down but i'll just do it the old fashioned way. lol

I appreciate that you’re making videos like this to really delve and inform us on the process. I plan to be driving for Amazon soon and I’ve applied to a few DSP’s already nearby. I was talking about this with my grandmother too watching your video together and she said “I wish I had access to these videos back in my day.” She is now a retired Mail Carrier from USPS and following in a similar foot path to hers felt like the right choice on the inside. I’m glad to know people like you make these videos so I can go in prepared for the job versus walking in blindly and, as you said “growing up fast”, due to the fast-paced environment and requirements. Hey! As a person that worked both Amazon and FedEx as a driver, I highly recommend FedEx instead! Amazon is very micromanagement and ai technology is annoying.

My DSP's "interview" was more like onboarding. I was in a group setting and was never asked any questions other than personal information to set me up for the job and start my onboarding process. I was a bit overwhelmed not really being sure if I wanted to work there yet but found myself accepting a position after about 30 minutes. The three day training was completed in less than two days which was great except I missed out on 8 hours of pay for the third day and I feel like the trainers were being incentivized to do so

It saves the DSP's money to certify these people a day early. There were several practical exercises such as scanning packages and loading vehicles that I noticed that were already marked complete that I had not participated in.

When I first started it was in the suburbs loved it 2nd day was 145 stops pretty chill 222 packages rarely had a group stop now in a city 150 stops 198 locations almost 380 packages dayli 🙃 and the timely matter trying to do it under 7 hours

That's crazy, ups drivers say 170 stops is a really heavy day. I wonder how that's so different from Amazon cause DSP drivers always say they have 200+ stops..

My 1st and 2nd day was tiring, brains got wored out. Too much reading and quiz/final. But i pass all of them. Got 8 pples but 2 pples fail. Driving course test is somewhat easy. Drive for 17miles and come back to station. Starting pay in Columbus is $19.50 for DA

im glad i heard 3:30, i have always had the fear of applying for a job and being tested positive since i only smoke marijuana and do nothing else like smoke cigs or drink or do hard drugs, since here in kentucky marijuana is only legal medically.

Going to start tomorrow for my 1st day training. Can’t wait, hopefully my intellectual self can past the test on first try ehehehe

I interviewed today and the interview consisted of me creating my email account, Amazon flex account, signed job description, uploaded DL, and background check…. It really wasn’t a interview you basically complete onboarding paperwork

I did not pass the test the third time. We were watching the videos as a whole team on a TV, not a screen for each applicant. Thr videos were tedious. I thought I was paying attention but of course I missed little details. They have given me the badge before knowing if I would pass the test. When I told them I did not pass, they told me: "give me the badge," with a cold tone. I felt I was treated like bad, even though there was nothing bad, I felt like that.

During the process HR told me it's a 4 point test, not a 5 so marijuana isn't included which was a huge relief bc I'm relocating for this job from FL where it's legal bc I have my medical card.

If you’re in Indiana or Ohio make sure you take measures before you take your drug test. You have to pass the drug test to get the job. Even if you do on boarding. If you’re in a state where Mary Jane is legal. You’re fine.

Hey so I was wondering when you leave a component to the driver after a delivery do you actually see it or is it just fake

Do they hand over time out like candy or is it something you get every once in a while? I was looking for a job that I can get at least 50hrs in.

All videos iv found so far keep mentioning DSP. The location ill be working from, it says Amazon on the actual building. DSP was never part of the job title when I applied, was just amazon delivery driver. All the vehicles are on the back side of the building. It is a massive warehouse about the size of a football field.

Can i ask why you didnt stay at Fed ex ? Im sure they pay more and give u more hours also have room to move up if you have CDL ?

Mannnn I remember 2 years ago where they checked if you had a pulse and training was trial by fire. Built some tough ass drivers out of that. Bad to the bone. Dispatch donnn evennnn calll meeee

My interview was today, a weird one No questions Just a tour of the wherehouse and they’ll let us know within 24 hours….. 7hours later they texted that I got the job and now I’m waiting for background and drug test.

Is there a practice exam after you watch the training video/ side shows?

From a 2 year experience semi driver. I'm looking for an out to cdl driving. Time from home and long 13 hour shifts of just driving multiple hours isntbfor me. But this type of driving is something I would like. This video definitely gave me the info I need to make an educated choice to apply to a DSP near me. What are the odds of accepting me if I have this above experience? Would it skip the road test?

I started the next day. I did 3 day training at the weird facility in Denver. They only have one here. Look it up. It's hilarious. Denver post did an article the week I was there. 3 weeks ago. Still a new guy.

not being funny at all, but u didn’t get the job bro. i’m a driver myself and normally if your hired, u basically would’ve known the same day. anytime a job tell you they will call or email you back, don’t expect it. try another route like fedex express in your area, best of luck to u‼️

I was in your same position just 2 weeks ago. I was told an HR lady would be contacting me right after the interview. A few days passed & nothing. I had to reach out & ask what other steps I needed to take. I was told that because I made a comment about working Sundays over Saturdays was a preference. The lady who interviewed me put on my profile that I was unwilling to work weekends. That was not true. I ended up applying for a different DSP. I will be starting my first day of training Monday. Hope this helps.

Why do some DSPs start out at $17.75 per hour, while others nearby start out at $18.75 per hour? I work at a DSP on the outskirts of Dallas at $17.75 per hour, while a DSP in Dallas starts at $18.75 per hour.
