This popped up on my feed today. This is my favorite local antique mall. Sometimes I go just to listen to the music and to look. Let's be honest, I don't think that I have ever left empty handed. Thanks for taking us along!

12:04 “Rebel Without a Koss” … Koss manufacturers headphones. Wicked popular on the late 70’s into the 80’s. James Dean wasn’t wearing headphones on that side of the piece … he was on the other.

Koss are speakers and headphones made in Milwaukee. They used to have creative billboards like the "Rebel without a Koss" one with James Dean.

Ahh you were in my hometown. Our river use to freeze really well and as a kid I skated everyday in the winter when the ice was safe. That store use to be a Red Owl grocery store. A friend has an antique place in downtown Waukesha. Unfortunately are city is known for having a guy drive through our Christmas parade killing 6 and injuring dozens more. Thanks for visiting.

Kudos on pronouncing correctly one of many, many weird Wisco cities!!! Oconomowoc, Ashwaubenon, Kaukauna, Mukwonago, Weyauwega, Sheboygan are a few of them. I went to Poland and was able to go to the pottery manufacturing company store in the mid 90s. The prices were so cheap. I brought back a few pieces and still have them.

This is a great shopping trip! I see lots of really good stuff.

Misty I have a good Teddy Bear story for you! I went to the Springfield Extravaganza this month with my mom. Our first time there, we loved it. While in town we also went to the Heart of Ohio Antique Mall (amazing place!). Waaayyy down at the end of section 1 was a booth with a few plush and one of them was a 1950’s Cubbi with a rubber snout by Gund. He was extremely well loved/worn. Price was $40 but 20% off. I thought I was nuts for spending that much on a bear but here’s what got me- he had a hand written note on him explaining that he was from the 1950’s and that the booth owner had owned and loved him since the 1970’s ❤ He indeed came home with me and I’m hoping to be able to show him some love for another 50+ years!
