No matter how you see it ( romantic or brotherly ) bucky and steve is a love story period !!!! and after seeing Engame its a shame how they took a crap on it and denied they don't have a love story. Steve has know bucky all his life so his relationship with bucky is longer than peggy. I am glad the fans of Shanghai expressed what we here in America are really feeling .

Chris once said that Steve's friendship with the Avengers mattered more because Steve knew who he was/is. I believe the friendship Steve has with Bucky is just as important if not more important because at that time Bucky accepted Steve when he was just Steve trying to find his place in the world

he literally had closure with peggy, she quite plainly told him to move on it's a new world you can't go back. i hate that they completely rewrote steve's character for absolutely no reason, i would have rather seen him die a hero's death than what they had him do to his best friend

It definitely felt like an answer to gauge the audience's reaction to Steve and Peggy in AE. It was not the relationship that developed over the course of three movies, such as Steve and Bucky. The over-explanation and the fact that we all expected him to say "Save Bucky" since he usually answers these questions with Bucky in mind (I am specifically thinking of that interview where he says he would marry Bucky because of their bond) are just some things that come to mind as to why his answer seems strangely out of place.

"I" think "Steve Rogers" will choose Peggy. He is "MY" boy.

Honestly, the writers destroyed Steve Rogers in the last few moments, everything his character stood for got abandoned for a romance that never fully took off and that he was over. They didn't even have to make stucky canon if they didn't want to, but they also didn't have to destroy a perfectly fine character.

But... but what about bucky 😢

No matter how you percieve Steve and Bucky their relationship can easily be interpreted as romantic. Period. Anyone saying "you're fetishizing gay relationships UGH!!!" is just being ignorant tbh.

i'm still salty that they choose the storyline where steve actually went to Peggy. Because whut, bucky grew up with him, went to war with him, "died" in front of him, Steve almost died in the winter soldier because he trusted bucky wouldn't kill him, He even became a fugitive for a couple of years because of bucky. Even before turning into dust, bucky went to him and his last word "Steve". I mean.. c'mon doesn't make sense when Steve chose to go live with Peggy, who I'm sure was an amazing woman, who he knew for a couple of years. Not to mention, the woman already moved on and has her own family. But i guess that's how they choose to tell the story.

@@HailG3 It's worse than that, the extra is actually Joe Russo, they went that far and then shot Stucky as dead as they could. Although, they're just the directors, they didn't write the story, Markus and McFeely did and I think they should take the bulk of the blame for this

Steve might've been physically attracted to Peggy (because I refuse to belive it was love, he knew her for a couple of months only and was only attracted to her because she didn't immediately blow him off like the other girls) it was still obvious how much Peggy resembled Bucky, not only in looks but in character too. From the moment she appeared in CA:TFA all I could think about was she was a female version of Bucky, so even if Steve did love her, he basically fell in love with the female version of Bucky. All in all, everything always comes down to Bucky and Steve's feelings for him.

If Bucky was a girl he wouldn't be able to save Steve from bullies, they wouldn't be able to go to war and fight together, Bucky wouldn't become the winter soldier and so the character of Bucky already wouldn't exist, but would be just another Sharon Carter. The whole point of Steve Bucky relationship is the brotherhood. Steve and Bucky had been through so much that they literally became family for each other.
