    My son is 3.5 and the phase you described with Sage we've had many times. I feel like when they're wildin' like that it's because they're going through a big developmental leap. Then the calm you get after is them having gone through it, and you'll notice those little things like better communication etc. showing that their little brains were developing. 🥰

    Such a great Mom. Love the way you try to get her focus on what she may want when she is fixated on something is probably not best for her. Going through those tantrums with my toddler who is 25 months was a learning experience and still is, but helps you grow as an adult too. It is so challenging when they are in the eye of the storm and you didn't expect a hurricane.

    I think is better to not give a choice to a toddler if there is no choice. I mean, asking if she want a vitamin d, then 99% she will say no :D It is better to give a choice with time, do you want to take your vitamin now or in 10min or something. Toddlers like to make decisions. The same with breakfest, whatever you propose she will say no, until you give her two choices to choose from - the best something you want to eat and will do anyway. It is possible to manage whatever you do, because your child is not stubborn hardcore way, but I think this could be easier and more comfortable for you. It just a ways to do, but you will know always the best.

    Hey Nicole, As a mother of three kids, I see it- not all kids are created equal. Some children are high needs children, or high maintenance (not to be confused with special needs) while others are naturally more relaxed and go with the flow. Really important not to compare to friends' kids and not to beat yourself up over difficult behavior. I highly recommend reading the book " How to Raise Your Spirited Child" by Mary Kurchinka. Best of luck mama❤

    As much as I love this channel, I'd like to touch base on the "energy" part. One child is easier than 3 or 4. Having family near and help is also going to make things easier. Please don't feel like you're doing something wrong if you're too tired to exercise and cook from scratch every day. Everyone's life and story is different than another Moms.

    For all the comments that say “you have a challenging toddler”… Uhmm do you even have kids cause like I watched the video waiting for some crazy tantrum and didn’t see it lol What I saw was a little toddler being a toddler. Are some moments harder then others, absolutely I’m sure but I don’t think it’s right to give her that title. Are they going to push back, test the limits, express themselves in what may feel like explosive ways.. Yes but that is how they learn and grow. Side note, does sage have a hint of red in her hair or is that just how the camera picks it up? My boy is a full on red hair and he’s got the spicy personality to go with it 😂

    I truly mean this in the kindest of ways, you've got yourself a challenging toddler. But I do believe that if you have difficult toddlers, they may grow to be more easy-going kids. My son, for example, was a fairly easy toddler but became much more emotionally challenging as he got older. Luckily, it's mostly all phases and even though some phases seem like they're never ending, they do eventually end and get better.

  • @surlespasdondine

    @surlespasdondine

    True. Even though most toddlers I know are difficult to deal with because their brain is immature and not really able to deal with big emotions and be rational. And yes it depends. My first was very difficult as a newborn, a little less as a toddler (but still hardcore) and super easy to deal with as a child and preteen.

My body is fragile like a child's and feels irritated when I don't get regular carbs (grains, potatoes, rice, etc). She's too happy of a little girl to get a bit moody. That could be why she's crying out for snacks at meal time, her body is telling her what she needs. You're doing such a GOOD job. 🤗❤️👍
