About time: the component often left out in this conversation is energy. Mine fluxuates so much, and im not the same person week to week. In any conversation about work, productivity and career, energy needs to be part of that convo.

Definitely. There’s so many things to affect our energy daily Rrcently I heared Alex Hormozi’s class/ video on time management- Manager vs Maker time. And switching in between these modes is a energy killer for me.

I agree with the equal to everyone thing. Even more: my experience and skills are not here to boast about: they are here to serve the client. The role of tattooer is servant and channel for the clients vision. But also to help the person avoid walking into mistakes with our experience instead of wanting to control them with our egos❤

Awesome people who I respect so much, and an insightful conversation. Thank you 🙏 Many thought provoking points but Matt’s comment about not putting all eggs in one basket (which I totally agree with) seems at odds with the general sentiment I have felt from tattooers that nothing less than dedicating all your energy to the tasks of tattooing is looked down or at least frowned upon. I’m curious if his advice was more towards tattooers who are established enough to diversify or whether he would encourage anyone at any point in their career to have another job or income stream alongside tattooing
