I agree. He is diligent and even gracious - even when that is not extended to him. Natti gets a space made just for her, costing thousands no doubt, but his completed shed is to be years out, even though it's less and he provides the labor. Of course, no one is perfect, but sometimes, as humans, we're just a bit thoughtless.

@@gaslitworldf.melissab2897 I think you mis-understood what Stephanie was talking about. She didn’t mean his shed, she was talking about the eventual pool. Selmar’s shed/workshop will be completed whenever he decides to work on it. The pool which she is planning on putting where the tennis court is, is what is years in the future.

And I think I remember him saying he prefers and has chosen to remain in his camper-van, AND he is being employed at LaLande as well as by others so he can be an independent contractor in France... so @GaslitWorld f. Melissa B. You are placing judgment where none is needed. He is independent, that is why we get to see so many of his videos when he takes time off to travel.

The Druid Selmar is such a beautiful thing. When he's with the animals, at the edge of the woods, it's magic.

I think of selmar as Dr Dolittle. He exudes a lovely calm and peace. Animals must be able to sense that. Ruby knows a good human, when she sees one!

Whenever I see Selmar I think of St. Francis. He has such a loving soul and everyone, including the animals can feel it.

A concept: You plant berry bushes in the place where the trees used to be behind the chapel. You could preserve the feeling of a path leading through while keeping the chapel safe, and then you've got berries for preserves or the farmers' market to boot!

This could be so beautiful and the path could be such a lovely addition. One idea I had was to frame the entry to the chapel with hydrangea.

@@itsmyparty4637 Indeed, it's sad Ruby was left "intact" all along. Leaving him exposed to many cat fights, driven by his hormones... I remember he had wounds early last year already when Selmar had just joined Lalande.

It's so lovely to see how Marie has blossomed into a more confident woman. She's beautiful and a beautiful human being! 💕. Happy Birthday Marie! 💕

Selmar is so good for the Chateau. Even when all the changes I'm sure feel a little overwhelming to Stephanie - it's like Selmar gently reminds her about other jobs that need to be addressed at some point. He's a good egg that one. 😊

Before this vlog episode, I'd actually been wondering where the sheep have gone, they featured so much last year, with The Elusive Nick getting you guys to move them over and over again. How wonderful to see a small corner of the world filled with lovely people genuinely employed in craftsmanship and friendship.

The spin off channels are great. Michael, has one, Marie, Selmar, and Dan have theirs too. Dan has one out now called The Chase that is a must watch.

@@ichaconf my cat was adopted from the animal shelter at about 5 weeks old. We had him altered as a kitten, it makes them more calm in my opinion. Then just lots of love and plenty of spoiling. I took him to the vet first thing to make sure he was healthy and had his shots up to date

Gosh my dad would be in 7th heaven with all that wood in Selmars studio, just as well he lives in New Zealand

When Stephanie called Ruby Selmar's shadow, it reminded me of my childhood cat. He was yellow tabby exactly like Ruby; we called him Shadow since he followed me and my siblings around whenever we were playing outside.

Worth a try, they say two leaves deep or 5/8cms is best. A good, rich soil with some shade at the roots also helps. My best viticella scrabbles up a shaded north facing wall. I actually like the species herbaceous ones the best.

Yes Yes and Yes regarding Selmar’s wooden magic place behind his shed, a nice steady floor for his camper, facing the woodlands and stream surrounded by animals, so that he can work on his special carpentry pieces for LaLande , he is a master, he takes his time, to produce fine carpentry, even his recycling bins are fantastic and will last for a very long time. Selmar is perfection.
