One Punch Man Series is a Parody Comedy that's Trolling at the same time all of the Superhero/Hero Manga/Comic book and Anime/ Animated Series (Including DC and Marvel) since there is always 1 OP Superhero/Hero in those type of Created World/Universe

This anime is one of the few that really understands how to actually do comedy and how to do serious when needed.

this anime has more comedy from other anime.. but still doesn't mean it doesn't have a serious moment.. trust me this is one of the best anime.. the story will get better soon..

Its truly amazing, I mean heck it probly woulda been enough on its own with just Saitama and Genos as main cast, and then you meet all these heroes and turns out even the worst among them is awesome and the best just as amazing as Saitama and Genos are, amazing show all around.

It seems like it’s just one of your average parody comedy anime in the beginning, but the development in the story gets a lot deeper and serious in the future. Highly recommend the manga for this series after you finish the masterpiece, that is season one.

So true

The real story with Saitama is finding purpose. its actually alot deeper than critics gives it credit for. You cut out the most important line in the show where he questíons if him becoming this strong has lost him a part of his humanity. It a comedy and a satire so the existentialism themes doesnt get too heavy but theyre absolutely there and its friggin brilliant.

1:05 funny you say that. In this original Japanese dub you're watching, the voice actor for this character (Vaccine Man) is Ryusei Nakao, the same actor that voices Frieza in the Dragon Ball series. However, since you said Dragon Ball as soon as he is shown, I assume you noticed he looks quite a lot like Piccolo from Dragon Ball. Well, in the english dub, he is voiced by Chris Sabat who is the man who also voices Piccolo in the english dub (among many other characters as well; i.e. Vegeta, Shenron, Yamcha, Zarbon, etc.). And that's something I always loved and found hilarious that they went and got the Piccolo actor to play a character in a separate series that looks a lot like Piccolo lol

From what I've heard (source unconfirmed) the japanese dub also wanted to go with Piccolo's voice actor but he turned it down so they went with Frieza instead!

Vaccine Man is also a parody of Baikinman from Anpanman, even down to how Anpanman would always beat him with one punch. Incidentally he's also voiced Ryusei Nakao.

this was like a parody for anime at first but the more it goes on you get hooked. keep it up and you'll love it

Am I the only one, who got constantly distracted by that cute doggoo?! I loved it!!... The reaction was nice too.

Honestly, One Punch Man was the only series that got me hooked on anime. Well, I've watched some shows, however, I always go back to this masterpiece from time to time because it's just too unforgettable. This anime is really deep if you tend to dive into its story and plot. And I'm sure you'll love it. Thanks for reacting to my ultimate anime.

Saitama's "egg face" was originally because in the first webcomic, the artist just wasn't that good :) but in the later manga and the anime, his egg face is basically his disinterest and detachment from everything going on. Like before he got his powers he didn't have it. Thanks for this reaction :)

Ooooh one punch man! Where you respect the struggle of the villains trying to fight someone too strong. This anime has a serious story and gets genuinely heartwarming and emotional but there's always that funniness to it. Godly animation and awesome characters. You'll love it!

One Punch man is not the typical story of superhero who has achieve a lot in life. Saitama is a simple man, who is making ends meet.

Everyone talked about the anime already so I just want to say that the room you're in is so cozy lol

This is such an epic first episode for an even more epic anime. Every time i rewatch it, i notice more things like Saitama fighting Crablante in his head while holding processed crab, everything is made easy i'm going to binge all you got now

Saitama is breaking all Shounen and Superhero tropes and we are love to see it!!!

This is a comedy but it does make an interesting point. Struggle is vital for mental health. Getting things without effort is the same as having no goal in the first place. Saitama is literally dying inside like a human in a zoo. This show is about many things. Getting what you thought you wanted only to discover it's nothing like you though. Showing that one invincible hero can't save everyone and other people need to try as well from normal people to super human and a lot in between.

not even a minute in and you already noticed it's the same studio that made Parasyte anime... good eyes. Madhouse consistently did high quality productions over the decades and a lot of their projects gained popularity both in the east and the west... they didn't continue with season 2, it was picked up by another great studio, so no loss for the fans there...

This is about The hero that has reached the pinical of power and he has to strugal to find meaning for life. he has no chalenges in his life and finding conection to thous around him. On top of being good comidy.

@@samis.y9059 this was the best animated shounen of its era and ultimately made a default in the industry which helped the upcoming anime shounens to have a better animation if it were to compared to nba this was the all star team where the top animators of the industry just came together to have fun and show off their individual skills to this project every top animators of every aspect in animation from sketch to shading to pallete to motion retracing were invited to this and you can actually see each ep and frame/scene who made it because most of them always leave their signature style in the scenes they worked on thats why its recognizeable and the director of this was also a very good one

you are going to love this

I like how you mentioned Parasyte: The Maxim as this anime was animated by Madhouse who also did P:TM

It's quite an interesting premise to have an adult superhero, who's already OP, in dire need of stimulation in his life.

One Punch One is actually deeper than people thought. It's about philosophical life of salary man in his mid thirty hitting the wall and feeling empty.
