Kaleb, I don't know if anyone has told you this, but some soloists, as well as congregations, use your music as accompaniment. This applies to many who don't have a pianist or organist in their church.

He's a blessing for sure!

This made me cry. It reminded me that I have not prayed enough to God, despite praying a lot. We still come short of God's glory. If only I could remember to bring every single thing in my life to God in prayer. I'm a business owner, and it's been tough that covid19 gave us a hard time. Still recovering, but so thankful to God he kept us surviving. Either way, I pray His will be done, because his plans are greater.

I’ve read that this song came from a Christian Irish man who immigrated to US; he lost his wife; then remarried and second wife also passed by natural causes; his mother who still lived in Ireland heartbroken by the news wrote him a letter asking how he was able to cope..his letter to her was turned into this beautiful hymn.

I have an old hymn book that I sing with every Sunday when we do a church service for the nearby rehabilitation hospital.
