Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you subscribing to my channel and liking my videos. You can also find me on Facebook borderviewfarms and on Instagram @borderviewfarms

Here comes your saving grace. Beryl is heading your way. Should be in Alvordton by noon and Berkey by 3pm. When it's all said and done in the next 36 hours or so. You have the potential of 3" of rain across the board. Awesome.

The Rain seems to be doing exactly what you want it to do , now you just gotta fight the overlooked design flaws until some engineer smokes some killer weed and finds the solutions to those flaws in his daze😂

I read another comment somebody brought up a good point. He said put host clamps with a little chain or rope that way if it does break off again at least you won't have to go look through the whole field. It'll just be dangling

Does your well water have high levels of iron in like all the deep wells in our area, certainly nothing l would care to drink?

I would be concerned with bending the boom if you put on a stronger coupler, i'm sure that's why rain is using pvc.

Looks like you need a rain machine and well in every field. Better have a couple money trees to do that. 4 dollar corn wont do it.

Should put an air tag (or something similar) on those drops to be able to find it easier.

Maybe they should add a sensor to tell you the drop is malfunctioning or for the 360 to shut down-just a thought🤔

Why do you need that joint, where you put the zip ties ? If you keep having failures, I think I would consider a one piece hose, that way there is no fitting to break.

Cub your hand and put it slightly into the stream you opened at the well, put your mouth between you thumb and first finger and drink. Learned from drinking from sprinklers at 80 psi.

The Y drops are just too heavy when you get everything full of the liquid and would way overstress what the spray bloom can handle!
