First time viewer. Fun reaction. Also, the trope of the absent parents is an old one in slashers since the targets are typically high school teens and college age adults. 🎉This is normal because the targets are old enough to be on their own without their parents needing to be around all the time. In Halloween, the high school teens are babysitters. Teens watching young children. The parents are off at parties and events. Another reason I think the adults are always missing is because they're always Working. The houses in slashers are usually in middle or upper class neighborhoods -- places that are thought to be safe, secure, and sane; unlike urban areas. The parents have to Work to pay those bills. Now that the kids are in high school, both parents are either working or at some event. Just an idea. haha

I watched this movie around 10 times and I never knew that Charlie was Sidney's half-brother. When did it imply that in the movie, because the movie gave zero hints that could have led to that conclusion?

This is my favorite Scream movie. Like this and the original are top tier. I was the same with not suspecting Emma Roberts character because this was before she started taking more mean girl/evil characters. Fun fact, they were gonna do a remake trilogy with Emma getting away with it and going to college and having a Ghostface killer blackmailing her and killing her college friends. But you know, the usual changing something’s here and there and box office. Can’t wait for 5cream. There seems to be no one in hospitals in that town. 😂

Fun fact Speaking on Bloody Disgusting's 'Horror Queers' podcast, Williamson revealed that his plans for a fifth Scream film would have hinged on Emma Roberts' Scream 4 villain Jill still being alive (she was killed right at the end). Explaining his proposed plot, Williamson said: "Jill and Kirby went to college, and then murders started on the campus. And it was a killer who knew she was the killer from the last film. "So the killer kept trying to expose her, so she would have to kill to keep it covered up. So it was killer meets killer. And Sidney was a professor at that school."

This is probably my favorite Scream movie, other than the original. Can’t wait to see what you guys think of it!! Jill’s betrayal caught me so offguard..

So, in this one, I didn't catch a few things right away until after I watched it a few times. 1. When everyone was getting alerted in the classroom about Jenny and Marnie getting killed, Jill was the only one who didn't look at her phone. 2. When Jill and Kirby were watching Charlie killing Olivia. Jill's had her phone positioned directly on them, videoing it. 3. When Trevor was at Kirbys, he was wearing a similar outfit as Sidney's dad Mr. Prescott in Scream, who was also being framed. Also, Jill was wearing plaid like Billy in Act 3 on Scream. Fun fact: Originally, Kevin Williamson wanted Kirby to die, but Wes Craven changed it to where he left a possibility that Kirby could come back. When Charlie walked away from her, the camera was still on her moving on the ground. They were going to end this one with "there's a live one here," and Deweys asks if it's Sidney, and then it ends as a cliffhanger. They were also going to put Sidney into a coma after the house scene, and then Scream 5 was going to pick up where she recovered but had no memory of what happened. Jill was going to be in college and finds out that living Sidney's life isn't as glamorous as she thought. Now, there is a killer after her who knows her secret. But because they didn't know if there was going to be a 5th, they didn't want to leave that as an ending for Sidney in case it didn't happen to where it looked like she died when she didn't.

Scream 4 was ahead of it’s time with the motive. Between that and Sidney’s evolution from running away in past movies to running towards the killer in this one it’s my second favorite behind the first. Great job editing, Mrs. October! Looks just like your guys’ other videos I’ve seen so you got the editing style down perfectly!

The hospital scene in the end is hilarious to me. Another KZreadr named Zack Cherry, who did a bunch of Scream videos, said that Jill thinks she can get away with it even when there's no way is like a South park episode where Cartman isn't invited to Kyle's party but they invite butters, so he traps butters in a fallout shelter, then takes his place, and after he is caught red handed, he continues to have fun at the party before they catch him. It's just a funny comparison, as Jill is eventually revealed as the other killer by ALL the main characters and she tries to get one last few kills even now with nowhere to run 😂

When Kirby is naming all those horror movies in a row with the music for some odd reason gives me fucking chills. Maybe cuz I picture all these horror tales and how much they've influenced the scream movies

Welcome home Sidney! Glad you're both continuing the whole franchise! Scream 4 is one of my favorites in the series. At the time, many didn't like the motive in this one but in hindsight the movie was way ahead of its time. By the way, as a general rule (especially for the next movies) don't pay attention to "height" as it won't be an indicator of who Ghostface might be. Cheers!

@@TheOctobersReact Hi!! Ha, no worries! Many of us for sure did that when we first watched the Scream movies. Always identifying little things like "wait GF is tall must be someone tall" etc. However, details like that never factor into the actual reveal of the character because of course, GF in these movies is played by a stunt man!

Scream 4 definitely lived up to the original in more ways than one.

The most underrated film in the franchise imo.

What does this mean?

This movie was ahead of its time. I remember people saying/commenting the motive, and the constant webcasting was totally unbelievable. Maybe in 2011 it was. But in the past six or seven years livestreaming one's daily life has become so commo, including livestreaming violent acts. And the motive of fame and fans... yeah, that's an awful and frightening indictment of our time and society, but it's absolutely true. Social media has is its positives, but it's also had some really negative influences on people.

@@TheOctobersReact I get that, but she tried disappearing in "Scream 3" and realized that it wasn't worth it. Sidney writing a book about her experiences serves as a meaning that she's come to terms with her trauma and is willing to inspire others. Also, I love you two's channel, much love.

I am starting to love your channel. First time.comimg across it yesterday and been watching it since.

Watching it back, all the little clues about it being Jill are so obvious, but going in blind, she’s such a good twist villain. Her motive of being overshadowed by Sidney is the weakest motive between her and Roman. He’s a lot more sympathetic motive wise. I mean, I couldn’t imagine being abandonded by your mother as a baby, growing up thinking that maybe it was because she wasn’t ready, then to learn she went and built a totally new family and wants nothing to do with you is BRUTAL. Meanwhile, Jill’s just jealous that the attention isn’t on her. She’s absolutely crazy, but that makes her a better Ghostface

this movie was way ahead of its time. I mean, the motive? fckin genius. many people would do anything to get famous nowadays.

I know this was forever ago for you guys but Jill Prescott Sidney’s cousin is played by Emma Roberts the IT girl at the time who is the niece of Julia Roberts (MASSIVE STAR FROM THE 80’s through the 2000’s) in real life. Kirby is played by Hayden Panettiere who got super famous for playing a cheerleader with super powers in the super popular show Heroes. You obviously recognized Kristen Bell but the girl she stabbed at the beginning in that fake out movie clip was Anna Paquin who played Rogue in The X-Men movies…and Sookie Stackhouse in True Blood (which I think Mrs. October would LOVE!! It’s such a fun supernatural mystery that has similar vibes to Scream with it being self aware comedy).

Fun Fact: This movie was originally gonna end with Jill getting away with all of it and Sidney having a more ambiguous ending but likely returning for a sequel. It’s rumored that the studio saw that ending and made sure Jill didn’t survive and that Sidney definitely lived

So happy This is finally up. The Mrs. did a great job editing. I can’t wait to see y’all’s thoughts on the next one. There’s another 10+ year gap between Scream 4 and Scream ‘22, so it’ll make for some interesting advances in the franchise.

Great reaction. If you go back and watch the scene where everyone got the text messages about the girls being unalived it’s foreshadowed that Jill is possibly involved. She doesn’t react at all making it obvious that she knew those texts messages were being sent and she had a part in killing. Also the scene with the mum talking about her scars and nobody showing her attention about hers; foreshadowing for Jill’s motive of being jealous of Sydney.

Guys, I got to say I am super excited for you to watch the most modern ones. This one exists in a weird time. For me between the OG screams and the new screams and yeah it I think it was during this movie that I started keeping notes of who's related to who

I never watch "Scre4m" and it's predecessors before, even though the VCDs is right there in the living room closet since i am a kid a the time... I was ban from watching other than cartoons. But now i see the resemblance which part they took for the "scary movie". As well as "i know what you did last summer" and "the exorcist"

29:04 they gotta be talking about Die Hard. He was a cop and he had a bunch of Die Hard movies . Live free or Die hard was my fav. It has Justin long, Maggie Q and Mary Elizabeth Winstead

I was a huge fan of ‘the oc’ too. And of Adam Brody in particular. If you haven’t seen his movie ‘kid detective’, I highly recommend watching.

I believe Ghostface is usually considered 6+ but different people equals different heights.

I feel like this one starts off strong but then goes downhill by the Stabathon but the killer's motive was original.

When Jill got cut in Olivia hallway..Jill and Charlie practiced that attack.. And I’m know I’m not tripping but there was a trailer in the passed with Jill hiding under the bed and she did a hand Gesture signaling the killer
