I think what they mean is The Sin is Great meaning lots of it Causing a Barrier seperating us From God & that's what Jesus did. Took the penalty for our Sin so that we can be Reconciled with God for Eternity. Some verses in these songs need to just be Explained more but as Going to far & condemning them without There Motive we Got to Becareful how we judge

For so long I’ve been trying to get into a good school. I applied and my parents spent over 7,000 dollars on me. I got rejected from 4 schools. I kept asking God, “why me lord, my cousin is passing getting scholarships and am here with this much burden”.My birthday is tomorrow and I can’t enjoy my day because my parents are not happy for my results and neither am I. I tried so hard and that what they don’t get. I did not want them to spend much anymore because I knew that the would be tuition they would have to pay. I reasearched and applied for more. And now am praying to God I get full scholarships into schools and the ones that rejected me would come back begging for me to be in their school. And I know by Gods grace I would get into one school.
