    Many folks struggling to cover basic expenses often face this challenge because they didn't save enough during their working years. The choices made in preparing for retirement have significant impacts, as seen in my own family. Different investment strategies led to different outcomes. With guidance from a financial advisor, I'm now enjoying my retirement.........

    Just started watching this video out of curiosity although not planning to live there. Yeah living in a country's capital in the middle of downtown going to be more expensive . I suppose now rent is increasing ? This is the best you could find for that price ? Not bad. Especially considering it's smack dab middle of downtown capital. Try that with US in DC or other major US city downtown be soo much higher. Good luck.

    600 USD per month is not affordable for average Polish salary though. And prices went up considerably since 2020. And as she said at the beginning, she had luck to strike that deal.

    Are you Polish? I'd say $605 for a 1bed apartment in the centre of Warsaw is a good deal actually. If you lived in Warsaw like 5-10ys ago you may think it's expensive but the prices really went up in the past few years... And while $605 is a good deal, unfortunetely it's still expensive for an average Polish person since the minimum wage here is abt $420 net per month and abt 14% of workers earn minimum wage (and even tho people in Warsaw obviously earn more on average the minimum wage is the same for the entire country). And 38-39 sq meters isn't really small for a single person by Polish standards. Most families of 3 in Poland live in 1bed apartments with parents sleeping on the couch.

  • @Sarah-fk5zr

    @@zuza_0613 I'm not polish but my partner is. Well if now it's the reality, it's because people actually rent these places at this price. They give the landlords a reason to increase the rents. It's such a shame. We are moving soon to Poland and I can tell you that even if I have a good salary and can pay, I will never rent a place like this for this price. I will just go a bit further and pay a normal price. And seriously i think the higher salary i can get there is 7-8k zloty, so i don't really know how you can pay this rent and still save money at the end of the month. It's ridiculous.

  • @zuza_0613

    @zuza_0613

    Sarah Sarah Well, even if you go a bit further if you want a bigger place I’m not sure you’re gonna get a much cheaper place unfortunately... this is a normal price. And people here just have different mentality I guess, like this really isn’t considered small for 1 person. Most people here would think it’s an unnecessary luxury for a single person to live in a ~65-80 sq meters apartment tbh. Like I know a few older people who sold their ~65 sq meters apartments after their spouse died and/or everyone else moved out to move into ~25 sq meters apartments bc they don’t think they need all that space and usually want to live closer to the city centre (since it’s closer to shops, doctors etc and most old ladies in Poland don’t have cars or a driving license). And e.g. my cousin literally rents an 18 sq meters apartment together with his gf and even tho it’s not even in the centre (but quite close to it) and not in Warsaw it costs them abt 1700 PLN per month iirc. They could afford to live in a bigger place (he’s a programmer) but she (and he when he was still in school) wanted to live near their uni.
