WHAT $30,000 GETS YOU IN GHANA | TINY HOUSE ON THE BEACH IN AFRICA | PREFAB MOBILE HOME

I found a Tiny Home Beach House on the coast of Ghana! Myself and Tayo Aina sit down with the Ghanaian creators of these tiny homes in Kokrobite, Ghana. The Architect and Civil Engineer duo tell us all about the builds, what material is used, how much it costs to build one, how long it takes to build a tiny home and the return on investment when using them as Airbnb's (you will be amazed!!)

They both have a good idea that can travel beyond Ghana's borders. There is a ready market in coastline tourist countries like Kenya, Zanzibar, Mozambique and S. Africa, not forgetting Nigeria for these well designed beach houses. The problem is scaling up, to meet continental wide demand. The only solution is while retaining their design, installation, finance and marketing capabilities, to offshore the prefabrication to China, and then market their models for sale and lease-purchase online. China being a place where the manufacturing at scale can happen easier, cheaper and quicker than in Africa, and as they're charging dollars they'll be able to finance offshore fabrication, which can be redesigned into knocked down kit form.

I am convinced these guys did their homework regarding durability of these houses and their foundations. But what I missed in their conversation is the impact of climate change on these houses. Sea levels are rising due to climate change. And this is causing the disappearing of coastal cities and even whole islands. The location of these mini houses are just too close to the sea it makes me so nervous seeing them there. It won't be feasible situating there in a few years due to heavy flooding as a result of global warming and sea level rise.
