The Denton reissues (I own a pair myself) have a almost-liquid-like midrange clarity like I've never heard. They don't have the pure, natural quality of my old Wharfedale W90's from 1963, but that would be asking an awful lot, since those are more than 4 times the size of the diminutive Dentons and cost as much in 1963 as I paid for my Dentons. Still, the Denton is an outstanding speaker. The bass is perfect for all that music that the W90 doesn't like. They're great with anything, really, but I especially like them for electronic music, especially the stuff from the last 30 years.

I have many speakers, as an obsessed audiophile always looking for great value. My 3 favorite speakers in the $500 range are the Magnepan MMG, JBL Studio 530, and the Wharfedale Denton. They are all highly revealing, liquid, airy, accurate, etc. It's a great time to be an audiophile today, given the truly great choices without breaking the bank!

@@macroblockingone Can't believe i'm seeing this response from 3 years ago! Better late than never, I guess. I prefer towers, but they are both great, depending on space, application, etc. Bookshelf speakers often need to be paired with a good subwoofer, especially in a larger room.

look into some isolation stands for those if you haven't already. There is a company called Isoacoustics which make an excellent product. will help with the reflections off of the deck. Sounds Great. Cheers.

Hi! Hello! Tharbamar thanks for your untiring deep honest review all the time and very well indeed appreciated. I want to ask if you dont mind if you have any idea about the sounds of the new Wharfedale Diamond 11.2. Do you think it sounds good for Classical and Jazz music?Thank you and hope to hear you soon or later or if times permit. Bye

Hi Oscar, I have the Dentons and love them. My favorite speaker ever! How do you like your setup? do you find the 356 has plenty of power to drive these speakers? I am thinking of getting a C375BEE. It might be overkill, but I want something that will last me the next 20+ years. What do you think? (besides the fact that I'm completely insane?)

Can someone please help? I recently bought the wharf diamond 10.2 and i'm just not sure. I feel like the tweeter may be to bright, like when the letter S is pronounced. Now when i listen to music i play with speakers facing each other about 4 feet away with me in the middle like wearing headphones, i know weird but that's just my preference. Can anyone tell me if these Dentons are smoother in the vocal part than the 10.2's? Right now they sound so smooth but that's hard to tell unless in person.

Wharfedales are known for its warm and midrangey character. You should never hear any sibilance. Just make sure theyve been burned in for at least a week.

Hi Oscar, is that the permanent placement for your Dentons? I think the C375BEE would be awesome at 150 wpc, but the price is still pretty extreme at about $1300USD. Eventually, I would like to have at least 100wpc for my Dentons, maybe with a Yamaha in the $800 range. Currently, I'm running a 75 watt Cambridge.

These DO sound very nice and musical. Of course, it's impossible to get a real feel for the bass punch, and depth from a youtube video, but these are getting rave reviews all over the internet. Maybe it's just the room, or your Mic setup, but the lower-mids, upper-bass sounds a bit overly warm. Prob not a big issue.
