I was there. At the end when we all left via the Wembley Tunnel everyone was singing 'Yeah yeah yeah ba da de da da' from Edge of Heaven and snapping their fingers. It was an amazing moment, such a good atmosphere. I was sixteen and still remember it so clearly. George also got the audience to do the Mexican Wave with the concert programme as the sides had two different colours. Thanks for the memories George :-,(

I was there also...spotted myself 11 seconds in!! I was also sixteen and first saw them at Wembley Arena on Christmas Eve 1984! Wish iPhones existed in that day to capture everything!!

I was also there that day and also 16 I can remember as soon as you got in everyone RAN to get to the front 😂 so many lookalikes outside . I also remember paying £6.00 for a litre of orange juice as it was a scorching hot day that day 💋❤️😘x

I love the fact that George gave Andrew and the ladies the grand entrance. It's a well known showbiz theatrical rule that the star or lead always goes on stage last so George as the lead singer and lets face it the duo's big draw and by then superstar going on stage first and pointedly highlighting Andy and Pepsi and Shirlie's entrance was major sign of respect to them.

"George Michael"...what a legend ❤Loved you from the moment you stepped out on stage with Wham all those years ago when i was just a 13 yr old school girl. You had stage presence that compares to none...a beautiful voice, face, body, soul.... The emotion in your voice is simply breathtaking. I was there at that concert and i'm in the video footage a 16yr old girl full of wonder and emotion...wow!!! The atmosphere was amazing and the memories are so rich and poignant. Simply beautiful. As your adoring fans we sang in unity all the way home on the tube...pure magic and nostalgia. The day you died..a piece of me died. You music inspired me then....it still does now. Not one week goes by where either me or my daughters play your music...you are a huge part of our lives! George you were one beautiful man, inside out. Love denied you so cruelly....its all you gave...it was all you needed. Forever My hero. My George xxx

Maxine Godfrey Hi i read ur hearttouching comment got really emotional reading it.I too was in school n fell in love with him n his beautiful voice n songs feel the same way abt him the way u do dear.Feels real good when u learn someone in another part of the world shares the same feelings abt our darling George as u do.Not a sec goes by that i dont think of him or miss him he reminds me of my carefree youth his songs take away my loneliness unfortunately could never see him in his shows or concerts but always wished to c him but now he is not with us my wish remains a wish .Maybe after i die....

Robert Smith : I belonged to the Wham! fan club mailing list.. Lol. I got information about tours, news about the band, a bookmark, posters..it was so exciting for me to check the mailbox. Wham! was a hot commodity back then. I was teased a little bit for liking them but I also liked Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, Madonna, the Police, Tears for Fears, Pat Benetar, Bon Jovi and Whitney Houston.

From Brixton we haven;t even seen a photo! The Final at Wembley were filmed professionaly but no one seems to have it, not even some footage. Do you know anything about it? It has been now 30 years and all Wham/George fans are still desperate to see this concert/event...

Apparently George and Andrew weren't happy with the overall performance of the show which i find difficult to understand as i was there and thought they were excellent. This is the reason for the concert never being given an official release.

I always thought it was due to rights, both george and prince were very much about exclusivity. Was not easy to get to see them, they knew their worth was in diamonds.

Hard to believe this was 30 years ago today.

Just watched it again. I was there with my girlfriend and yeah coming back through the tunnel at the end will stick with me forevermore.. and got interviewed by hot hit magazine.. what a fantastic day. God bless you George..

Jason Harrison : Cool. How young were then? I was 13 years old in 1984, when I first laid eyes on Wham! Talk about having a first celebrity crush! my goodness. I thought George and Andrew were hot but George definitely had the vocals. I was sad when they broke up.

+sunnydays3076 Yeah! Hottest day of the year & they could hear us singing 'Last Christmas' miles away from the stadium. Do you remember the 'wave' with the programmes? One 'roll' with the purple/blue side, then the next with the orange/yellow side? I loved every minute of that concert! Would love to see it again in its entirity.

I was 11. At that time I just thought that all mainstream pop stars had massive talent. Prince. Michael Jackson. George Michael. Elton John. Queen. Madonna. I love all kinds of music - and I look around now wondering where the genuine talent actually is. Cos they certainly don’t often write what they are singing. GM was a different level of brilliance. Love the clip of Bowie leaning against a speaker smoking a cigarette and laughing when GM is rehearsing the Freddie tribute. The talent is staggering.

This is amazing. Im a HARDCORE wham fan and feel so sad to be born in the 2000’s- music was so much better then. To be honest. It's sad how Andrew don't get enough love and recognition he deserves and ppl still considered him as the "talentless one" of Wham. Yes, George became the breakout star which the world has grown to love; however, if it was not for Andrew, there wouldn't be no Wham! or George Michael. It was Andrew's idea to start the duo. The fact ppl always want to overlook.

Lady1990 So true everything you said about Andrew. I mean seriously who can stand up to the level of George's talent anyway... they were very hard on him. Also the initial image that everybody fell in love we all know was created in Andrew's image. Don't they say the sincerest form of flattery is imitation? Even now Andrew said he wrote the book to take the circus off of how he died and wanted to talk about how he lived. A Kind and generous thought and action done for a friend; just like who George was. I read the book. It's well-written doesn't divulge of his dear friend, is witty, classy and heartfelt. Hmmm sounds like George.

C’ mon , They came up with the idea together , and if It wasn’t for George’s talent their would be no Wham, he had his own image, it was nothing like Andrew , that’s why he had such an amazing. Solo career !!!!!! He didn’t need anyone !
