This year would have been George’s 60th Birthday. So beautiful tribute to that and him

George Michael truly was one of a kind and I agree with Shirlie: No one sings it like George. His voice and his musical craftsmanship … Just fantastic! ❤ Miss you George.

So happy Last Christmas finally got to number one. It deserved to be when it was first released. A timeless classic and possibly the best Christmas song ever.

George is so missed, so this is heartwarming for this Great song to finally make No 1. R.I.P. Sir.

December Song is lovely. I’m always pleased to hear it being played even if it’s in a supermarket. Very underrated song.

Not only did he love last Xmas, but he also loved Xmas it self. So for George passing away on xmas day was a sad day for us,but a happy 1 for him. Because he became a xmas angel. 👋💕🇦🇺

George Michael was an amazing artist. So talented and a truly kind hearted and good man. I love his music. He is much missed.

George was also inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year, a great year for George!!

Can't believe it's so old! I was a teenager back then, now nearly 60!

It's the best I miss George very much and l am 80 years old.whate a voice he will never die.

Lost my dad sudenly December 2016 , Whenever i hear last Christmas now i think of my wonderful dad Thank you george for the music and the memories

Ummm. He didn’t. He had an inherited heart defect called dilated cardiomyopathy and a cold or similar bug gave him myocarditis as well. (My ex husband had myocarditis-it’s not nice. You feel really ill like flu and no real clues that it’s a hospital emergency) The two things together were going to kill him as the myocarditis squeezed his heart tight until the dilated cardiomyopathy stopped his heart. Drugs had nothing to do with any of that.

I don't know why they asked her if she was "embarrassed" becauase 80's. It must have been an amazing time in her life, traveling the world, being with her best friends, meeting martin.

About time! A classic, I can't believe it has never made the top spot before. Sad George is no longer with us. He deserved this to be No 1 long ago. Shirlie looks great, too!

Christmas as a kid in the eighties was the best! Anne Diamond on breakfast tv, getting singles and blank tapes for Christmas, Wham, Duran Duran, Spandau ballet, all the greats on top of the pops with the audience with terrible hair and cringe dance moves waving tinsel around is something this generation will never know, waited all day for the radio to play your favourite song and then tape it, only when I had kids did I know what a worry it was for parents. 😅 Happy Christmas everybody 👋💕

I prefer 70s and 80s, probably because they were my growing up years. By mid 80s I was clubbing and dating and grown up. They were great years for me because we seemed to be on the verge of good things, the promise of technology, becoming more connected with the world and the music was great. Where I lived it was still safe even though it was a town, and we had more freedom than young people appeared to have in the 50s and 60s. For me those were fantastic memories and, like yourself, you wouldn’t swap them for the world.

I live in Vietnam and travel around asia. Safe to say ‘Last Christmas’ is the most popular Christmas song in this part of the world. It’s everywhere and has been for all my 15 years here in the East. RIP George xx

George Michael’s “Last Christmas” is by far my favourite Christmas song. All of those who have come after and tried to sing it have not even come close to the original. Brilliant songwriting and singing :). So glad it has finally been recognised at the number one Christmas song.

I've just been watching the video over the last couple of days - 860 million views since it was loaded. As my family Christmases were always rather tense, the video represented my fantasy of the perfect Christmas - with friends, not family, in somewhere like Switzerland, and I agree with Shirlie Kemp, don't cover it, no-one can sing it like George Michael did.

Last Christmas is my favorite

Just watched the documentary again. I am so grateful to have experienced WHAM. I am the same age as Andrew and George, and I remember seeing them in concert in 1985. Just loved it. WHAM and George, you are so missed. And NO ONE should be allowed to cover Last Christmas. Whenever I hear a cover, I turn it right off. Beautiful, beautiful video. Shirlie Kemp is one lucky woman.

Last Christmas by Wham is my all time favourite Christmas song. I play it every year on the 1st of December and through the Christmas period. It will always be a classic. My Christmas is not complete without it. Thank you George. He was and remains a favourite artist of mine.

Ann diamond is my favourite tv host I love to watch her so professional yet down to earth ❤

I was early teens back then. But had older siblings. So I remember the atmosphere, vibrancy, positive, fun energy that WHAM had.

Now 57 I can still remember being in high school and hearing that song almost everyday at lunchtime - Brings back so many fond memories of such great times - Thank You George and Andrew for all the Happiness you gave us -Bernie.

Happy people that make Great Britain unique.... never forget the music talent of these people... and of course the marvellous Spandau Ballet...among a few❤
