This is one of the characters I was thinking of playing myself. You and the Raiders have impeccable taste.

it’s so nice to finally have a warhammer game that is a narrative experience. I mean we got inquisitor martyr and space marines which I thought were both good and inquistor especially was surprisingly story rich, but a full on rpg was what i wanted. I’m very new to warhammer and i always wanted something to get into it and rts games are not my thing so this is very exiting. I hope that henry cavills warhammer adaptation makes the franchise big not only for the recognition but also that it inspires them to give the video games a higher budget so we can get more fully voice acted narrative games for this. Imagine a warhammer 40k rpg, but with the production value of baldurs gate 3 with fully voice acted and cinematic cutscenes. Man I would eat that up. For the time being though rogue trader is a very well made game i’m enjoying for my introduction to warhammer 40k. The combat is actually a lot easier to get into for me than baldurs gate 3 initially cause i’m already familiar with this combat system since it’s basically xcom and due to having played like 70hours of midnight suns which is just xcom with superheroes is easy to get into for newbs.

Save for some bugs, the Rogue Trader CRPG is really good and a nice point of introduction for newcomers into the Warhammer 40K universe.

11:08 100% agreement there. It went from dead weight in most encounters only becoming relevant in fights that dragged and is now always a boon to a party and built right can definitely be one of the strongest members of the party.

It's here! I'm going to watch this for a month or so before I start my play through to let it cook for a bit, since I have played Owlcat games on launch before and I like to think I have learnt my lesson.

Great in depth character creation!

I read the preview builds had some bugs. Not as bad as Owlcat's other releases but enough to convince me to wait a few weeks after release to get a better experience.

Thank you so much for all the work you put into this video and all your other ones! I really love this channel and this is a great watch. It will be really cool to see how a very different build from my own plays out in the story.

I intend to try to make a Chaos psyker as best I can, just out of curiosity of just how far the game will let you go. Fortunately, that's REALLY far from what Retcon did in the EA, and what he's doing now, which is absolutely ideal!

WH40k names can be pretty funny: "Theodora von Valancius Massimo af Scarus" Greek German Lithuanian Italian Swedish Latin

Having played the launch, they did fix the dialog from the deck officer still referring to the escaped animal.

I was really looking forward to the final let's play. The game looks substantially more polished. Nice.

Note for character building: As of writing this comment once you hit Exemplar at lvl 36 you CANNOT take Psyker, Navigator, Homeworld or Origin specific abilities or talents and are locked to archetype abilities or talents. Don't know if that's a bug or intentional by Owlcat but should be kept in mind.

To be fair, I think that's just to be expected of your average Imperial citizen. Most folks are just a mishmash of tubes, tin plating, and scar tissue. :D

The additional voidships are edition items. I surmise that the edition content doesn't activate till actual release. Just a guess though.

After 16 years im back to classic world of warcraft with the SoD (=vanilla plus) Also did u know that warcraft asked for the rights to do it as an warhammer 40k rts at the beginning but didnt get the licence? Crazy alternativ history could have been possible.

I had the worst day. When I got up to get ready for work, my power went out right before I was about to leave and that was right when the game would unlock and I was going to start the install so it would be ready to go when I got home…then when I went out to my car I had a nail in tire and it was flat, and it was right on the edge so not repairable and I just bought this set of tires back in August… had to buy a new tire…and was 2 hours late to work…ugh.
