Emailed the manufacturer about a replacement seal bar to see how support is and haven't gotten a reply in two weeks. I love the vac sealer. I'd prefer the 12" but don't have the space. Otherwise it works well with mystery support.

Wish you would’ve not talked over the sealing process. Curious of how loud it is.

All chamber sealers can also edge seal. Also if you want to cut even, place the roll inside the chamber and pull to the desired length, close lid and cut against the edge of lid with a knife.

Chamber sealer bags (smooth ones) cost a lot less even pre made sizes. Depending on your usage, you can save a lot of money just on bags alone. Only issue is they wont work with the external sealer. But have a roll of the textured bags is no big deal. Given the cost of this machine it's a pretty cheap way in chamber sealing. Who knows how long it'll last (cheap dry/sealed motor), you'd need to spend just as much to get a normal sealer to get the close to the same air removal.

Will the CV10 seal Retort Bags?

Thank you for the interesting review. Am unfamiliar with the Wevac company. Do you know where their corporate headquarters are located? And what is the country of manufacture of the Wevac CV10? Must be printed somewhere on the unit you have. Intriguing and inexpensive device for what it does.
