I really like this foundation. I am normal to dry. The coverage is great and I have age spots to cover and it does. I set lightly with powder. I have taught Aqua Zumba and Zumba classes wearing it and it is still there when I finish.

This has become my absolute favourite of all time HG foundation and it has just dropped in the region where I live. It is beautiful. I wear it over a pore-filling primer and and a light dusting of lose powder (I have oily skin) and it lasts even in my hot climate (southern Italy where it's over 90° F.) I can't get over it! Btw I'm 65.

Probably one of the most beautiful makeup applications. You look stunning and the eye shadows and lip are all just gorgeous. Sultry eyes and light lips... perfection .

Mine, too.

Whenever I think of Wet n Wild, I'm reminded of my teenaged days back in the 90's. This brand in the US tends to be related to make up you would've tried out when you were first starting out with wearing makeup! Not sure how their formula is these days and if it's still geared towards young teenagers. The fact that you are making it look good on you as a 40 year old is awesome! 👍

This is my favorite from the drugstore!! It has unbelievable lasting power for me! Great review!

I agree ...give it another try when your skin is less dry...i am hoping we will be seeing a tutorial with that summer sunset eye look...its gorgeous!

Wet-n-wild has some really great products and some misses, like any brand. I love that you a) changed your mind about it when applied and b) acknowledged that it may be that you were too heavy handed with Retin-A. Your eye makeup is mesmerizing! When I looked to see what you were wearing... bingo! CT 😍. The foundation looks beautiful... I can’t put my retin A on my upper lip and the sides of my mouth and occasionally the chin. I do use the Retin A under my eye, however!

;) Mother's Day was 22nd of March here in the UK, but I'm sure Gemma will appreciate it anyway. I'm 53 and the foundation went into wrinkles I didn't know I had! Apparently the formula is different for the US than for Europe.

Hmmm, I'll wait until you've done another review on this one. I struggle with Wet N Wild products. Saying that, I do know that the formula for the USA is different to the EU. This is because of EU regulations. So, when an American reviews this (or any Wet N Wild product) I take it with a grain of salt. Your skin looks very clear, fresh and healthy. I love it (without primer and with my Cetaphil sunscreen). 14 +hours of wearing in my office. I have a cardboard dry patch and yes it looked stamped in that small place ( I have a trick for it)

This foundation is my go to mixed with the Missha Perfect Cover BB cream!

Just a recommendation for the tretinoin flakiness -- Theraderm- it's a very gentle enzymatic exfoliant. I have been known to overdo and get that dual chin dryness, too!

I like the look of this foundation. It will be interesting to see a follow up but at £5.99 it might be one I pick up once we are allowed out and about again ❤️ xx

Catrice HD foundation is a great cheap foundation which I prefer over my holy grail Estée Lauder 🤷🏽‍♀️ and a fraction of the price! Give it a try if you haven’t already 😘😘

I like wet n wilds original photo focus but I’m using it all up as it’s no longer cruelty free. I have a couple of foundations that are that scoop thingy or a doe foot. I don’t mind for concealer but I go through those quick. Foundations hang around a lot longer, so I use a glass flat candle holder as a ‘palette’ and pick the product up from there.

I haven't tryed yet but among highstreet foundations, loads seem to rave about the Catrice one with the pipette.. I'd like to have tour opinion on that one and also on one from Maxfactor, with satin finish, for a 40+skin.thank you Gemma

It does have a nice finish to it, fresh, not super shiny. I hope it improves with more testing😊

I bought some today because my usual foundation seems to have been discontinued and I'll need to switch. Have to day I really like it. Bought the wrong shade at first - too light - but the chemist kindly let me change it for the next one up and that shade is great for me. Nice price too. I had been thinking of the Flower Beauty foundation and I could get that for special occasions, but for everyday wear I want to use something cheaper and it seems like I'll probably stick with this one, for the moment anyway.

I use this, I'm over 40, I like it. The one thing I have noticed is that it isn't dewy on me so it looks just like the regular formula, not complaining, but it's interesting.

Damn that charlotte tillbury starry eyes eye shadow. It looks good every time you wear it. I need to finc a dupe for it

I have had to stay away from dewy foundations bc I sweat too much. While it looks good for a few mins it comes right off even after powdering. I would like this more in a matte consistency.

I think this one must depend a lot on the individual’s skin. I tried it and felt it looked good at a conversational distance, but up closer it looked pretty foundation-y. It was pretty visible on my skin. The finish was pretty, but I have it have others I like better, even from the drugstore.

Use Avene Cicalfate or La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5. They are life savers for using on extra dry or inflamed skin. Great for tretinoin users.

Can you try the new Loreal True Match formula for us💞

It looks so beautiful on you! Also I love your lip color 😍 I have oily skin so I wonder how the foundation would wear on me. I may have to try it out!

Go watch Zabrina's video on this foundation, she has oily skin and lives in Florida where the weather is extremely humid, she can give you an idea of how well it would do on your skin type.

I think the foundation looks pretty good and it's a snip at the price. Would be interesting to see how it is on your Mum's skin too

I like this foundation when I first apply it, but it doesn't last long on me. I didn't use a primer or powder, but I never do. I love the Soap and Glory foundation. My only issue is the color is a bit too pink.

Love you foundation review! Wonder have you tried MAC studio fix NC13. I think that might be a good match for you

Oooh this is one of my favorites BUT I only wear it on the perimeter of my face (where the skin is dry) and use a more mattifying one in my oily t-zone. It’s not the longest lasting but gets me through my workday when I use it like this and looks youthful and dewy. 💜

Hello from Canada Gemma. I have never heard of Wet n Wild here. I am ready for a new foundation and have been scouring your reviews and love how honest and thorough you are. Today I was looking at the cosmetics department and we can no longer try shades as all the samples are put away because of the virus situation. Can you advise on how one can find the right shade without actually seeing the real foundation colour? Perhaps this might be a video? Still new to your channel and so maybe you have already done this?

I have to say i like the wet and wild foundation i thought it was lovely a dewy and the photo where fantastic with it i would buy it again I'm nearly out so might get another one but seen your review on the IT cosmetics and I'm delighted going to try the Cc cream out in that it was a fantastic review thank you I'll be definitely getting that I'm from Ireland i dont no where i can get the IT cosmetics could u help me on that where i can buy it someone was saying Boots do it but i rang the shop no thay don't but online maybe I'm still not sure?? Tried It - don’t like the “paint scent”...it looked nice at first, really gave me “polka dot pores” after on for awhile- too bad, it had a lot of nice fair ☺️💕shades, and low price.

Wet n wild was the only decent water park in the north east of the uk. Wave pool always had a few plasters and broken tiles murking in its depths

What about appying powder first ?

Jemma how do you take care or undo the flakiness caused by tretinoin? I’m having the exact same issue. I’ve tried applying moisturizer on the dry patches before I use tretinoin and also try to skip those areas when applying.

I was curious to know if the scent went away after it dried or if you continued to smell it on your face all day. Also why do you think it is unsanitary to apply the spatula directly to the skin if you are putting it on clean skin?

Hi Gemma been out of circulation for a while , but let see what happens , ? Oh dear ! Not good for a mature skin , you know I have had awful experience with a cheaper product as it will stay in fine lines which for me is a big no no , that’s why I stay with my favourite brand which never ever happens, but good luck Gemma , sorry I need to go , my love liz x

Have not found anything good through Wet N wild... seems to be a lower end / cheap brand. Physicians formula is my go to.... Love Love... I could toss the rest because of this product. :)

Are you still using Tret from Dermatica? The patches you have were what I developed when I was using the 0.5% Tret and Hydroquinine from them. I really struggled to get rid of it no matter what I put on in terms of skin calming moisturisers. In the end it was the reason I cancelled my Dermatica prescription as I just couldn't cope with the constant peeling all the time.

I'm not a huge fan of Wet n Wild either with the exception of their lip liners which are my favorite. I hated the original formula foundation which is so matte and looked horrid on my mature skin. :-( However the new dewy formula is quite nice. It's not all that dewy on me but has a soft, satin finish. Shade matching is difficult as the dewy formula doesn't use the same undertone system as the matte formula does. I had to guess which shade to use. :-/ I think it's okay but not one of my favorites. I'll use it occasionally when I want more coverage. I don't care for the fragrance but at least it doesn't smell like latex paint as the original does.

Looks great on you Gemma but I personally wouldn’t wear it as it’s not Cruelty-Free 😪 xx

Nadia Lister wet and wild is a cruelty free brand. The company wet n wild has expanded sales of its products to China but remains cruelty-free. Its products have not been tested on animals there, and it has worked with PETA to take the additional steps required to ensure that no tests on animals will be conducted for its products in the future. Xxx

What foundation would you recommend that will not fade from your chin? I have that issue.

You talked about airbrushing on this video. Have you ever thought of using airbrushing makeup. I have seen airbrush makeup advertised on TV and was wondering how it really worked if it really worked.

She has rosacea quite bad and I was wondering if you have any product recommendations to help with the redness and bumps please?? Remove ALL skincare and makeup products with a scent or fragrance as well as alcohol. This should help to start off with. Without seeing her skin it's difficult to make skincare recommendations, but a dermatologist will be able to help with that xxx

As far as I'm concerned Wet n Wild is by far the worst foundation ever. The smell alone is hideous, it literally stinks of paint or worse! The finish isn't great either. I ordered 3 lots from the US, I'm from Australia....and I've regretted it ever since, this was as a result of someone else bragging about it. Love your videos by the way, keep up the good work. You're one of the few whose opinion I actually trust :)

I can't get over the smell. It isn't a nice scent, it smells like tarnish--it is SO strong.

over 40? whaaat no way. im 33 and i wish my skin looked as young as yours

I came across your review and wanted to educate us women about the cosmetics we buy. We must always look for the ingredients unfortunately wet and wild photo focus foundation should be banned it has two ingredients that are banned in Europe but i don't know how they keep wet n wild to be on the market the foundation i mean the first is cyclopentasiloxane a volatile silicone endocrine disruptor and the second is Butylphenyl Methylpropional another endocrine disruptor. Ladies do your research. Also they label themselves cruelty free and their ingredients are deadly

No matter which Wet & Wild cosmetics I've tried, I have not been happy with the results. I steer clear of the brand.

Wet nWild is no longer Cruelty-Free as they are now sold in Mainland China stores. Quite a disappointment.

I’m going to be a little snobby here, but I will not use super cheap make up as for one there is a reason why it’s cheap as the ingredients used are probably the worst you can use and second it’s made in China. So this is one brand among many I will never even try.

LJ Young I use many brands, some drug store and prestige, I was just pointing out that some brands use questionable ingredients to keep prices really low, wet n wild being one of many. I chose not to use those ones. There are many great brands for a great price. I just read labels and research.

I can truly understand trying to buy products with the best ingredients. I had to retire very early due to serious health problems, so I gave myself a year to try and find affordable products to replace my high end ones.....and I've done it. 🙌 Depending on your skin, I do think it is possible to find less expensive options. But you have a great point, especially since we only get one FACE, and we have to take care of it!! PS The category I have struggled the most is setting powder. So, the Laura Mercier powder in on my Birthday list (since Gemma is loving it, as well as almost every beauty chanel I watch!)

Sorry to say Gemma, but to my huge disappointment, Wet n Wild is NOT cruelty free anymore. They are selling in China and have been for a while now, unfortunately. You can check their status on the Cruelty Free Brands "bible" logicalharmony.net/cruelty-free-brand-list/. Love that you're uploading more than often xx
