After watching so many of these, I cannot go into a bathroom with Tile and not see some “interesting” things 😂 Another gem of a video brother. Killing it!

nice work as usual. whats a little strange is grout joints on subways or any basic ceramics these days. as you know grout joints have gotten smaller these days , when i started the basic joint on floor tiles were 1/4 in, then when it went to 3/16 it seemed so very tight, now everything is 1/16 more or less. now take your basic 4- 1/4 , 6x6, or any basic ceramic wall tile/ subway tile, which years ago were always butt. i use to do boat loads of this basic tile and never put a joint in it. those ceramics had a nub built in it to give it like a 32nd of an inch and if they didnt have that you just spaced it very tight, but now ceramic wall tiles are spaced much bigger, you hardly see any ceramics with a butt joint....so all joints have gotten smaller over the years but ceramic joints have gotten bigger...

1/8" Horseshoes in back of niche sill to get your slope... And I thought I was the only one doing that 😂

Curious though. I saw the 16th inch spacer used to pitch the piece of quart on the sil. You also have the water proofing under the sill pitches too right ?

Recommendations for a tile saw? I do only 2 or so bathrooms/year and odd backsplash - usually large format porcelain. Maybe 1" thick fireplace stone too. I know the DeWalt d24000 does it all, but it's huge and around $900 with stand and taxation.

We are absolutely loving the Kobalt 24v tabletop cordless tile saw along with a simple 24" tile cutter. This setup is small, light and does it all. I have a new video uploading today on that saw.

Question about backboard piece you installed above the niche. Did you screw through Schluter membrane and then waterproof the screw holes before tiling over? Looks amazing 👍🏼. Thank you.

Great work as always, just wondering why there was no waterproofing between the Kerri board and tub?

very tight work... dont you need to cover the kerdi board washers? maybe you were going to do that one on the right side of the niche after placing the sill?
