I've done this with my wet saw too, much more "civilized" way to get tessera or medallions out of workpieces.☺

If there are any other rank newbs like me reading these comments - keep all 10 where they are by starting out using wooden guides. Neither of us have the expertise (remember, we're rank newbs) to get our delicate fingers this close to a moving blade.

Actually the blade is not that sharp like a wood chop saw. It's really just a fast moving nail file.

Newer sawa are made not to cut you! You will be fine!

My handyman showed me how you can touch it with your hand and you will be fine. It won’t cut through paper either. If you’re cutting glass bottles, you have to remove any labels first because they’ll jam up the blade.

What saw is that that you are using if you don't mind me asking :)
