Wet Leg - Chaise Longue Reaction

Ойын-сауық

In this video we're doing another one from Wet Leg. This is one of the more eclectic modern bands we've come across, and we are genuinely intrigued. We can't wait to hear what else they have for us. Enjoy!

If you get deeper into more songs and more specifically the musical talents of the lead singer from past bands you will be astounded as to her talent level. It's almost as if she's trained in opera at some times. Amazing band who does not take themselves serious and are sometimes surprised by the attention and accolades that they have gotten. They are refreshing and fun. Glad you to got to review it because you both have good music chops in range and scope of what you know. Cheers.

Wet leg are a bit like marmite, you love them or you hate them. Personally I think they are a breath of fresh air, something completely different musically from the norm.

This feels like a song written by the same people who made "don't hug me I'm scared".

This is reminiscent of something I heard at the end of the 70s or very early 80s.

In the context of this song, big D refers to a college degree…..or does it?

Yes it does. And in Britain it's called university, not college.

... and I know you do reaction suggestions, as you did one of mine before, lol, but try 2 songs by Idles. Danny Nedelko and Never Fight A Man With a Perm (the first is the best anti-fascist statement you could wish for) the second is just hilarious. Thanks guys... and once again, keep it up. Rapidly becoming my fave reaction channel.

Chaise lonje is how the French French would say it . I suppose Canadian French would pronounce it differently.

They are getting a lot of traction in the UK media at the moment, so I thought I would give it a listen. Not really an original note to be heard, but music just seems to be endlessly recycled these days, so I guess it's the turn of 80's/90's Indie/Pop. Arch and amusing, but insubstantial fun.

I like to give all newish bands a chance but- These were voted Best New Band in one of the poles this year in the UK. Unfortunateley this definately style over substance. Old indi pop from the 80s/90s with absolutely nothing new. The media are suckers for a couple of nice looking ladies playing guitars- one of whom doesn't look to sure about that. I remember Classic rock going mad over Saint Jude and Blues Pils in the past, both with blonde female singers with very predictable dull music- passing over gret rock bands like Rival Sons and Blackberry Smoke. The audience looks to be youngish, so never heard this stuff first time round I guess.
