To improve the breed r any breed overall you gonna need goats that represent the breed well and have good characteristics such as good growth rate proper body structure etc and continue to breed them and see if they replicate themself are even produce better kids then them is more like a best of the breed selection and continuous reproduction

I would say start with a good buck sumn solid with good traits to pass throughout the herd

Purebred Nubian is the correct term and it all depends on ur operation and want ur breeding r looking for ,for genetics purpose I would say no to that question if ur doing meat and want a fasting growing kid with good meat to bone ratio I would say yes so it all depends on what you aim to achieve
