Thank you for this wonderful video of Westport! I am sad though that my mother, Rosaline Hastings Joyce, and her 6 Hastings siblings who were all born where Heneghan's is now on Bridge St (1912-1924) and loved Westport, are no longer around to see it. Their father Michael T.Hastings is in two of the photos. His oldest daughter Mary Hastings Barker only died in 2016, aged 103. (She was a midwife in Stoke-on- Trent, and delivered 2042 babies). My father Francis Joyce ran a bus service from Leenane to Westport for many years. His nephew, the late Hugh O'Malley looked like him, though my father at 6ft. 7ins. was taller.
Thank you for this video. I came several times in Westport were I had friends. I might have some photos (in an old album) taken in the 70's...
