Weston hasn't changed that much in 40 years apart from the pier burning down and replaced with a modern monstrosity, also the pier access is £1 per person nowadays and a total ripoff being as it was supposed to be free originally.

"modern monstrosity"? You mean to say the old place was safe? You saw how quickly it went up, that place was doomed, even if the old owner didn't decide to commit insurance fraud. Yeah it's a shame what happened but there wasn't much to do on the old one. The new one is packed with ride, is bigger, doesn't feel like a hanger and does have a presence fire suppression system. I fail to see what's so "monsterous" about it. If that place didn't burn down that day, it would've burned down another time while it was OPEN. At least this way no one was hurt
