Westmont IL EOWS 612 Weekly Driver “Growl” Test
Yep, it’s still here! This is my first time hearing an EOWS 612 in person. Rather than going to another town to record their siren growl, I decided to do Westmont because their 612 is bound to get taken down any day now. This is the only other videos of this siren growling.

Location: near the Hookah Buzz
Growls at 0:20
This is my last siren recording in Illinois. I won’t upload a video in a while until I can find a siren to record.

What time does it growl and does it do it on Mondays? I live so close but have gone to two monthly Tuesday 10am tests where it didn't sound off at all. Would love to see it work just once.

These particular sirens are actually programmed with a chime, but unfortunately, this siren does not use it

@@Kitatohoku0505 サイレンは正常に機能します。 チャイムを行うようにプログラムされていないだけです The siren works fine. It’s just not programmed to do the chime.

Federal Signal made a series of tone generators and amplifiers that are wired to the 6 speakers on this siren

@@mattmakesmachines I think it’s the same deal with the Barrington EOWS. The EOWS in this video has replaced the Westminster Chime with this “Growl.” That’s just my theory
