Unison can do that. I wonder if there are any research papers over the physical sensation that certain chords and overtones can produce in the human body. Even before I was trained music had the ability to create goosebumps.

Never before have I heard an overtone so out there like the ending chords.

To me, this chorus just has the most pristine sound of all. Perfect blend, superb clarity... Westminster just seems to be the pinnacle of Barbershop Chorus singing to me.

In Field Day in my Catholic school in Wisconsin, I was in chorus and we sang this. But we practiced previously and the song forever engraved in my head. I love this song

They used lyrics from both versions. I'm in love.

Incredible. I can't even put it into words, really. Not to mention that first front man was on a whole new level than I have ever seen. His attitude, energy, movement, and expression is honestly a huge inspiration to me. Everything all together though was just explosively amazing. I was IN the Newsies for that 6 minutes.

I'm so proud of my nephew Justin Miller and his amazing Chorus. Enjoy your well earned victory.

I've listened to this at least a hundred times and shared it with other musicians. I sang in the Lansing Michigan Chorus (Capitol City Chordsmen) back in the early - mid 1990s while still in high school and have never lost my love of barbershop. The overtones on the final chord are just miraculous - gives me goose bumps every time I listen!

atteheikkinen I mean, I'm a baritone (maybe not in the barbershop sense!), and I can barely chest an A if I'm lucky, and these guys nail a high Bflat entry out of nowhere! Incredible to watch, but makes me quite jealous ahaha!!

This is truly a legendary chorus performance to behold forever.

Justin and ALL members: As a former member of the VM (1994-97) I think this performance ranks among the best 4 or 5 I've ever heard or performed in. I'm completely blown away.Keep up the great work!!

I WAS THINKING THE SAME EXACT THING THE WHOLE TIME LIKE WTF

My opinion... But think this will be very difficult to beat ever in terms of a full barbershop package. Tuning. Passion. Chords. Everything. And all done a Disney theme which is can sometimes be a bit cheesy arrangement wise. Pure class all round.

It is enrapturing, isn't it. It's my favorite. Inflection is like perfect, with a few OOQ moments. But I think its the best ever overall in my view.

Wow! What a song, arrangement and performance!

Wonderfully done - ALL OF YOU - and this from a now "Crow" (Dammit, my voice is gone!!! And I miss singing!!!) Who used to sing (years ago) with the Alexandria Harmonizers...

After all the times I have witnessed this immaculate performance, I wind up asking myself the same question: "Was there some moment (besides just before coming on stage) that this impossibly amazing group of men KNEW they had won?"

The director is phenomenal

This is the best performance of a chorus in BBShop history, despite other scores. The first 40 or so bars are the best example of how inflection makes music on a "ballad" building toward an "uptune" I have ever heard. (This chorus has many other examples of that.). As a one time judge, there are a few places to extract a point or two--the talk part on "fight, fight, fight fight fight got OOQ, one chord in the tag was a bit OOQ, and the raucous 2nd half had some imperfections), BUT, AMAZInG: greatest performance in BHS history. Of course, everyone's entitled to their opinion. To me, it is shockingly good -- simply amazing. And, the arrangement didn't hurt :).

That moment at 2:22 is just breathtaking...

I enjoyed this. :D
