The light has turned on . I've known these chords forever yet I've never really understood the chemistry behind them until now . This lesson easily translates to classical as well .

Just learning the basics of Western swing so this is a huge help, thanks. I would add that even those new to guitar or any other instrument should spend some time learning and understanding the wheel of fifths, which is not difficult. The keys fall into place after that and you have less trouble understanding basic theory.

Great lesson. I'd no idea Western Swing used open voicings like those for the D and C chords, very cool. And look! No kids banging on about how it's not metal in the comments list. Zero idiots have viewed this so far.
