Westbrook, Lakers fall to Leonard and Clippers 103-97 | NBA | FIRST THINGS FIRST
Спорт
Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes discuss the Los Angeles Lakers 103-97 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers Thursday night. Nick explains Russell Westbrook has not given up entering the season, but he is “broken” on the offense. Broussard explains the Lakers should have traded Westbrook last season for John Wall who would have improved the Lakers offense. Despite Westbrook's struggles, Nick explains the Lakers are waiting for the perfect moment to trade Westbrook this season.

Lakers have at least 2 basic problems: rebounding and 3-point shooting. The Lakers got out-rebounded by the Clippers by 20 boards. In the first 2 games the Lakers have shot 25%,20% from 3-pointers. Against the Clippers, the Lakers backcourt of Westbrick, Nunn, Beverly shot 1 for 25.

I said Pat Bev was the dumbest trade 2 people for him lol and Russ should of been in Indiana
If Lakers can't shoot 3's, the team has to intensify defending 3's and force their opponent to make a bucket inside. I'm looking forward for the coach to have the adjustment especially in the backcourt otherwise the Lakers has to find a better coach.
we had backcourt 2000 and now we have brickcourt 2022
So the year that they go out and get Patrick beverly, Russ is going to turn himself into Patrick beverly? woof
Wilds broke it down perfectly.
Why Lakers dont bring back Melo is beyond me Yes he isnt very good on defense but nobody on Lakers is And he can give you 12-15PPG
Pat Beverly is regretting leaving his sports commentator gig at ESPN.
This show is perfect.
The squad the Lakers played against the Warriors in preseason is a better starting squad than the dumpster fire they put out there so far.
Let's give them more games to stablish kimestry
I can't stand the Lakers and since the start of the preseason I never thought they would finish better than 9th seed in the west, but after watching the last couple of games I see a glimmer of hope: if they continue to defend and play team ball, I can see them developing a defensive identity and turning things around after the halfway mark. But until then, we shouldn't be surprised to see the losses pile up; it will be working progress.
I like the old setup
First Things First is way better than Undisputed now.

Patrick Beverly is the Flava Flav of the NBA, a good hype man, not a good NBA player!
pat bev is a good pick-up, not great but good.. it also depends on whou you gonna play with pat bev. put pat bev with russ or draymond or simmons on offense and all defenses will sag and can double your star.. maybe russ limits pat bev or vice versa, and maybe both cant be on the court together.. in my opinion, pat bev is a good role player on most on this past teams..
Nick "Listen" Wright
In my opinion, I like the way the Lakers are playing as far as fight and passion, but that will only get you so far when you lack talent and/or ability, in other words, to keep beatin a dead horse, THEY CAN'T SHOOT, so this ultimately falls on management, but we are beginning to see (especially with pelinka getting a new contract) that the front office is too busy being infatuated with each other, rather than worrying about puttin together a championship team 🤷
Pilinka has relly messed up. It is a 3 point world.
I thought we were gonna give credit to the clips but Lebron fan talking heads just sulking and making excuses about why their king lost. It’s always about how this affected bron. 🙄👎
Nah, you paying someone 40+mil to be a role player, albeit westbricking shots at that? Lakers deserve more than that.
Pat Bev cannot start. He is not a starting caliber player. Release Nunn and Release Pat Bev they are both too small and are a liability. You need big guards Russ size or taller.
Stop shooting so many 3’s. The midrange, layup and free throw game still works. Play to your strengths.
This segment was funny af. All i see is 2 lbj fans panicking.
I don't believe LeBron ever wanted Westbrook. When asked what is he suppose to say, "no I didn't want Russ"? I find it hard to believe that a man with excellent "ball sense" would ever think that Russ would work on that team.

Nah it’s still on LeBron for wanting Russ on the Lakers. Bron and AD pressured Rob to make the trade happen when he originally wanted Buddy Hield
I don’t get why you would trade Russ and take on more long term salary when after this year you get 50m off the books to build a more balanced team
Patbrick , westbrick , kenbrick , Not sure about LeBrick
Lakers have at least 2 basic problems: rebounding and 3-point shooting. The Lakers got out-rebounded by the Clippers by 20 boards. In the first 2 games the Lakers have shot 25%,20% from 3-pointers. Against the Clippers, the Lakers backcourt of Westbrick, Nunn, Beverly shot 1 for 25.
