Please join and support her. We need to eliminate the source of corruption. Politicians are divided use so they can pocket taxpayers' money.

The fact that the people of Michigan are on the hook for 17 billion a year is reason enough to get rid of taxation.

They should look at (I know it's hard to believe) Prop 13 here in the state of CA...The property tax is based on the sales price of the home and can only go up a very small amount per year. If you stay in your home for many years your taxes don't grow like they do when some assessor decides they need more money and they base your tax on an opinion. There are other things to it but it keeps thing more reasonable. If house values go down and you sell for less than you paid the tax will go down...Tax based on sales price. I will tell you thought the state and politicians hate prop 13 and have tried to circumvent it many times...Good Luck with trying to keep the state in check.

You never truly own your home in MI, you pay rent to the state, if you can't afford it you lose your home, period. Especially paying for schools by taxing property means poorer districts get substandard schools compared to more affluent districts. There are better ways to pay for roads, schools, more inclusive ways where everyone pitches in, including the vast amount of tourists every year.

I’m sure they will get tax dollars for things we all need. She is right about never owning your home no matter how old you are,or how long to lived there. Send out school tax for your district.

Who wants to pay property taxes when you can barely put food on the table or pay the bills... I'm all for not paying property taxes

If you guys really want to abolish property tax it is real simple.....get everyone in the world on board and everyone just simply stop paying property tax all at the same time. Police and military should refuse to evict people if the Government tries...the system will fail without their use of the muscles.

Here is a good compromise. Instead of eliminate property taxes and all ther destructions it would cause, make the proposal so the Proposal A cap is permanent even if you move or 1st time home buyer. Make the cap at 1995 or 2010-2012 home values (whichever is less plus inflation on primary residences. For secondary homes uncap to real property value upon ownership change.

She's right. Property taxes are WAY too high. I live alone and don't have kids or drive all that often. I do use the library, but I use it online and download to my Kindle. We need libraries and I support that, but we don't need so many branches. My biggest fear right now is that I'm retiring in a few years and I don't know if I'll end up homeless because that social security doesn't go far and with the cost of groceries sky high, gas always rising, utilities rising, everything is rising and something has to give. We all are getting poorer every single year because any salary increase you get just gets handed over to taxes and bills and food because they all go up every year surpassing any increase you got. Once I retire...there's no more increase and you can only get so poor before ya end up homeless. Something has to give. Budget better because we're all so over budgeted already there's no room in the budget for more, so you need to be spending our money FAR more wisely instead of just coming back for more every year. Go downtown and look at all the homeless. They used to have homes before living with a roof got too expensive. This is no way to treat the elderly.

Was it the part where I say that we haven't ended medical bankruptcies in this country ran by politicians not representing us, or can we not disagree and have to have group think and speak?

Property taxes on NON-COMMERCIAL property are regressive. The Florida Homestead Exemption matters greatly.

somehow a library that no one goes to or needs passed, somehow the smart bus that doesn't even come to the road near me passes (smart empty busses driving around with very darkened windows so you won't notice), detroit zoo that is not even in my county passed, the Det Inst of Arts not even in my county passed, some county vet, police, fire, schools, etc that is now over $4,000 a year, unaffordable greed
