This was the first season they came back up, the fa cup year before the tevez great escape year.

They finished 9th and almost won the FA Cup, actually. Not bad for a newly promoted team.

What a goal that is by Benayoun! .... If that was scored by someone like Mo Salah or Erling Haaland or even Cristiano Ronaldo then everyone would be raving about it for literally YEARS but just because it was scored by a player who played for "Little old West Ham" nobody did really speak about it much even though it's a very good goal but never mind that's just the way football goes with top 6 favouritism I guess 😒 Nevertheless, a fantastic result this was back in the day #COYI ⚒️⚒️
